I have been lurking, sorry ladies. With all the ups and downs of the HG, and with all the other changes going on in my home, I have just been browsing your posts.

Today is my gender scan, and I'm actually sitting in the office about to go back. After the U/S the dr will be discussing possible hospital admission. Over the last 2 weeks of at home IV therapy they have had a ton of trouble getting a vein. I get 3-4 sticks every other day trying to get a vein. So, that means I'm not getting much fluid and they can't get my keytones negative, they always are moderate to high :( hoping for another solution... Those hospital beds are so uncomfortable.

Anyway, enough about me. How are you ladies?

Regarding breastfeeding...

I definitely plan on it! I nursed my daughter until she self-weaned at 11 months. She refused to even take bottles! She would scream when you would put it in her mouth. This baby I have to keep working (last time I was only part-time) so I am hoping that I can either start working part-time or find a part-time (half day) job. I am not sure how successful I would be with full-time pumping. I am very nervous about the whole thing.

That sounds like an awesome time and plan to me!! We're getting a new vehicle too with taxes, we need a bigger one for me to drive around that will fit both kids haha. We wanna take the little man down to the aquarium that we have. It's about an hour and a half drive from us.

Right? That's how we are. We shall find out in a little over a month :) When do you find out?

Seriously? I think he's full of it. I felt the baby and so did my husband at 11 weeks. It all depends on the baby and you. If you think you felt it, then you probably did.

This time i have to remember to introduce a bottle earlier. Cause my daughter was the same. She screamed when i tried to give her a bottle but eventually she would take it after like 10 mins of crying lol. I just want to option to be able to give her breastmilk from a bottle. Specially since it will be summer and we may be out on the boat, at the beach etc etc, or hubby can feed her :)

hahaha it took me along time to do it. I went there like 10 times before i acutally got the courage to do it. I even though about just asking if i could buy it. But i was like pfff they arent going to notice they have hundreds of these laying around.

Haha that's a great comeback!! I agree with you! How on earth does he know what it feels like and doesn't feel like? Who is he to tell you you didn't feel it? It's proven too that when you have more than 1 you feel everything sooner and start to show sooner. Gosh....guy doctors, they still have to "know everything" haha I'm sorry. But I'm sure if you felt the baby then you did. You would know.

I cant stand doctors sometimes they think they know everything. And lots of time we as moms are right before them.
But i dont agree with the feeling everything sooner as the kids go on. I always thought that was the case but with my first i felt her at 17 weeks, 2nd was 13 weeks and my 3rd i still havent felt anything and ill be 15 in a couple days. Im also smaller this time around than i was with my last one.

How exciting for the gender scan today!! I hope you don't have to go to the hospital either. Our beds used to be uncomfortable until they built a new wing and go comphy beds. It's great from what I've been told. Keep us posted though on what's going on! Can't wait to find out what you're having!
