I am curious to see how my hubby does. My ex-husband....well, to be honest I am not sure what he did. I just remember that I am not very nice and tend to be very finicky. As in I go "Go AWAY!" and then when they start to walk away I go "where are you going?!" lol.

I've had 3 csections and have never had the option for anyone but the doctor to cut the cord....we're delivering at a newer hospital this time though, so I'm crossing my fingers.

It is definitely an option. You just have to let the doctor know before hand. I seriously recommend everyone read this:

http://www.keeperofthehome.org/2012/02/1o-decisions-for-parents-of-newborns.html

It is called 10 Decisions for Parents of Newborns. It gives you the pros and cons of decisions and whether or not that decision is a decision you can make in the case of a c-section. You can actually do a lot with a c-section but most doctors will assume you want them to do it unless you voice a different opinion yourself. :)

No, it is not ALWAYS an option. At the hospital I delivered at before, the "support person" (father/whoever is in delivey with you) sits on a stool next to you. They are not even allowed to look over the screen, much less go around it and cut the cord. They are required to remain seated through the procedure.

The cutting of the cord was never an issue with my husband. He wasn't sure beforehand if wanted to look while the children were being born, but of course he ended up watching the whole thing.

My ex-husband wanted to cut the cord but in the excitement of everything didn't.

Whoa. I was just sayin' that since you are delivering at a newer hospital you should voice that you would like to see if you could do that this time around.

Yay! I found that having all of my appointments so often has actually slowed down the time but it's a totally different situation for me lol.

Yay!! I start mine every two weeks after my appt this Thurs.. Woop woop! It is all down hill from here. Have you scheduled the rest of your appts also? I did that at my last appt and now it seems like time is speeding up. My last OB visit is scheduled for my due date..

I keep having dreams that I had them. It's freaking me out! I hope they stay until at least 35 weeks, 37 if they can. Hell they can stay all 42 weeks if they want but I doubt the doctors will have that haha.
