Aw! Thank you! I'm an aspiring photographer and I have A LOT of friends, so I got a pretty sweet deal for my maternity and newborn photos. You'd be surprised how affordable they are! Ask around!

I'm not this time, but when I had my now-4 year old, I got a sit and stand...big sister was 19 months older and it worked out REALLY well for us. Couldn't use the carseat with it, but he mostly sat in a sling or wrap til he was big enough to sit up in it, while big brother and big sister rode in the stroller. Once he could sit up well enough for it, big brother thought he'd outgrown the stroller anyways lol

They've gone back and forth on it so much, I don't honestly know anymore. They've put me on and off of bedrest a stupid amount of times already. I'm dilated to a 1.5, since 23 weeks, but have shown no progression since then, regardless of a lot of contracting.

Just a couple pictures....

The letters I made for above Lola's bed. I'm so happy with how they've turned out! Honestly, they're only about half done, because I have pink ribbon that matches the pink on the letters to hang them with, but I got a little excited about taking the picture lol

So, we went to get a 4d... 2 separate times. Liam's head is literally in my right hip, so no pix :( . He is kicking and punching up a storm. Is there anyway to get him to stop kicking my boobs? it's like hard enough to push my lungs into my boobs. Eesh.

I just moved here so I don't know many people... I've asked around a bit but too expensive... a girl who needed to add stuff to her portfolio said she'd do it for free but then bailed last minute... she said she'd reschedule but hasn't yet. :(

Elle: Whoa, you're belly is so cute! I'm envious!

4D: I reallllly wante to do one but I don't think we'll have the extra money. DD and I are going to the beach with DH's female family (girl trip), then the last of the stuff we need for Lily, and his cousin's due a month after me... and our 4th anny is the end of the month and since I'm going to the beach Hubs wants to go to Texas with his friends.

Plus we're saving for a house. Part of me wants to just say Ef saving for a month (especially since we just had to sign a new 6m lease so we'll have another 6m to save anyway) but we also paid $100 for the gender scan at 20wks so I'd be paying for two scans... seems like so much. The 4d scan would be like $140. But this is my last baby and those things (to me) are so effin cool! bah. haha

It was actually heartbreaking for me. We didn't get ANY pictures. We went to 2 different appointments, sat through 1 1/2 of her trying to get some pix, and NOTHING. His head was locked in my pelvis with both feet, a hand and his umbilical cord all in his face. PLUS since I have an anterior placenta, he is already running out of room. We got $90 back of the $140 when we didn't get anything, but I still REALLY wanted it. Maybe it's a sign I need to spend it on the things we need since family clearly isn't going to help!

UGH... and on that note, my MIL & SIL are throwing my shower 2 weeks from today. We got married in Oct, so we are still broke from the wedding. Family was supposed to help out with baby stuff, but they haven't done ANYTHING yet. MIL said she likely won't be able to help out since my SIL is getting married 3 weeks before I am due (which... why does that matter? they made us pay every penny of our wedding, but they are dropping $15k they don't have on her wedding? SMDH) :( and my dad, bless him, is covering the expenses for my summer school before my Financial Aid hits in Aug since DH and I both HAVE to take a summer class to grad on time.

I'm seriously worried because we dont have the things I remember needing the most... like we have a crib and a few clothes, and all the cloth diapers we could need.... but the pack n play, swing, bouncer & stroller are all still on the registry. Not to mention the things that you need 6 mos out like the high-chair, a jumperoo etc. I'm terrified because we are BROKE! DH got a "promotion" in Jan. It's like $3 an hour more, BUT, they STILL haven't started him... so we are barely getting by. THEN my MIL tells me that of the 30 some people she invited to the shower, only 8 are coming. I mean, I guess that's better than the 2 that came to my DS... but still.... Where are friends and family when you need them? I just hope we pull it together soon. I don't have ANY baby stuff left from DS, so tylenol, nail clippers, wash clothes... all that little shit you forget about... I have NONE of it.

Am I wrong to be freaking out?

Mega: That sucks. I'm worried about waiting too late for that too but I can't afford it right now unless I put it on a credit card which I don't want to do.

In a way I would be freaked out too, but in a way, it's not your family's responsibility to help you for your 4th child (or really any), especially if they can't or are already helping you a lot with other things.

I suggest you get the basics and forget about the rest... and get the things you need second hand (besides the car seat). Watch Craigs list for free things or lower cost things. Heck, check to see if there are "yard sale" face book groups around. If you're part of a church, see if they can help. There may be some low income clinics around that can help too.

There are a lot of things you can do to save money; trade older kids' clothes for baby clothes, breast feeding is one of the biggest, They don't need a swing or a bouncy seat or a pack N play and definitely don't need many clothes (especially summer babies). A stroller can be found a bit cheaper or just baby wear. Ring slings are cheaper and you can even make your own wrap with a simple sheet which can easily be found at a Good Will/thrift store.

Forget about the high chair and jumparoo for now. That's 6m from now, you can worry about it then.

I think you may have me confused with one of the other ladies... this is my 2nd. My first child is from a different marriage and is 5, so this is my husband's first and his family's first grandbaby. I know it's our responsibility, and i'm cool with that, I just wish they didn't play favorites with my SIL over DH. I don't see why they need to pay for her wedding when they didn't help us at all. ugh...excuse the hormones. I get very aggravated with how they treat DH. He is such a great guy and they dote on her. When I met him, they had a car in his name and had racked up like $3k in dept and then made him pay it off... not cool if you ask me. We got all that handled, paid for our wedding and honeymoon, then we got pregnant and Christmas... just one thing after another.

Anyway... more later, DH just got home!

LOL sorry hun, I can't keep everyone straight x-x

But yeah, that blows. Is she the baby? I know my baby brother got WAY more than I ever have. He's 22 and still gets a bunch of money and it's just... pathetic.

Are they traditional? Usually it's the brides parents who pay for weddings (I think). My Gram/Mom helped a good deal with ours, his parent's didn't even show up... no one from his family did... It broke my heart for him.

with my last 2 i got a sit and stand cause my oldest was 3 when the baby came. This time my oldest is 4 so i will just use that again as she walks most the time but gets tired sometimes. It has a carseat attachment that any carseat can go on. It worked really well for us.

Thanks for your input :) I almost bought one of these in 2010 and then realized it would not fit in our trunk lol. BUT we have a new mini van now and I bet it would fit in that big ol thing. It really is cute and I think the carseat attachment is a MUST at least for me.
