I've been losing bits for a few weeks. Freaked me out at first because it was so early but reminded myself it regenerates lol.

I haven't lost mine yet. During my first pregnancy I didn't lose any of it until I was induced in the hospital

I bought most of my DS stuff off of craigslist and local yard sales the first go round.

If you have a sewing machine you can make some items like breast pads, wash cloths, burp clothes, and towels.

Although not everyone can attend your baby shower, they may send you a gift anyways. I would wait and see what happens and then try to see what you still need after it.

Also see if there is an establish freecycle in your area. You may be able to get baby items that way as well.

I just bought a change table today. I know i was debating it before and said ill prob just use the long dresser. But it came up on our local buy and sell and it was the color i needed and it was 50$ obo. So i got it for 40$ and called it a deal. If i dont use it i wont feel bad. And ill just re-sell it for the same price. Ive just never had one and want to see if ill use it.

Quoting Naturally Alternative~28w:" LOL sorry hun, I can't keep everyone straight x-x But yeah, that blows. Is she the baby? I know my ... [snip!] ... helped a good deal with ours, his parent's didn't even show up... no one from his family did... It broke my heart for him."

Yea, SIL is the baby by about a year. They aren't really traditional per se, it's more that my soon to be BIL's parents are seriously traditional. My BIL has a serious stash of money and has a job offer with Halliburton after he graduates this weekend. They can afford to pay for their own wedding, he got her a $10k ring for God's sake, but he refuses to pay for the wedding... smdh.

Anyway, I did want to say that I have no problem getting used stuff, that's what I did with DS, but DH & I both agree that we want multiple kids, so we are trying to buy everything new this time so we can use it a few times. We asked for everything to be gender neutral except clothes, and we have already purchased the bulk with the exception of 3 big items (because family specifically asked us to leave some big items for them). The problem is those items are stuff we NEED. I think most of the issue is that I hit 30 weeks this weekend and something put my butt in gear to finish everything ASAP.
