James: I had planned on it but we ended up having to pay for our gender scan which was $100... the 3d/4d is $140. I can't justify spending $240 on elective scans... especially when we're saving up for a house. x-x I had so hoped too, this is our last baby and we didn't get one with our first. I think they are wicked cool.

Yeah that's understandable. We paid for it with our first because we only got one ultrasound the entire pregnancy.

With my daughter and this pregnancy my dr does them routinely at every visit so we got really lucky!

Does anyone else live far from the hospital?

I live 45 minutes (no traffic) from the hospital my dr delivers at! I am pretty sure I want to wait and go into labor naturally but I am also afraid that I wont have enough time to get to the hospital. And when there is traffic it sucks!

There are closer hospitals - but I really want my doctor to deliver her! With my first I didnt know who delivered him and the delivery was not a good experience.

The closest hospital to me is about 45-50 minutes unless you are flying. I'm planning a VBAC so I definitely want to let labor start on its own, but I have no idea when I should head to the hospital.

With my first I was about 45 minutes from the hospital and the drive was horrible! We arrived with enough time though.

Good luck on your VBAC!

Thanks! I was induced with my first, so I dunno how the drive will be.Hopefully if I leave when contractions are 5 minutes apart things won't go so fast that I'll have him in the car. lol. At least then I'd be sure to get that VBAC, huh?

Haha yes I guess that would be the only upside of delivering on the side of the road Lol
