Definitely call them first though. Some will only covered hand pumps. It all depends on your health insurance. The good ones will cover only certain electric pumps. Others will cover whatever you pick. (insurance agent here :)). It is pretty effin' awesome though!

Ours covers any double electric medical grade they have in stock. I just called and they only cover Ameda, BUT, they give you ALL the accessories and it's fairly comprable to the Medela. I'm super excited! PLUS, since I am past the 27 week mark, I am allowed to order it now so it is here when Liam decides to show up!

I guess the only downside is I HAVE to get my supplies (storage bags, valves etc) from Babies R Us since they are the only ones that carry it... thats an hour drive :( Or, I can order online since they have a BOGO 50% off online :)

I am really glad you posted about this! Just because I keep reminding myself to call my insurance and see what they will cover but with my pregnancy brain it keeps not happening. lol.

This bedrest is killing me. I dont know how much more i can take before i have some sort of mental breakdown. All i do is lay in bed, i can only get up to go to the bathroom. My husband has been doing everything around the house including working and taking care of me and our son and i feel terrible for it. We used to be a team and we arent at the moment. And i feel useless and worthless. I must look like the worlds laziest mom to my son, he says he understands but I still feel like he doesnt :/ Me and DH got into an arguement today because i broke down and started crying and he was like whats wrong i told him how depressed i feel being stuck in bed i cant do anything around my own home i cant go outside with my son i cant even do laundry. Hes like "Wow, your complaining because you get to lay in bed all day? it would be like a vacation" yeah to some...but not to me. Then he had to use the "I have been doing everything" guilt trip on me..Like i asked for this :[

Sorry for the vent. I just dont have many friends to talk to...And im supposed to hold out for at least a few more weeks? Hell its been 8 days and im losing it...

I've been in your shoes, and I know how stir crazy it can make you. Hang in there, it's worth it in the end :)

Thanks. I was on bed rest with my son for 3 months. It was different though, because i didnt have any other kids then. Now i just feel like im useless as a mom and wife.

Thanks! I have been pretty lazy all day. I told my hubs that that was what I wanted for my birthday. To actually get the chance to do nothing. And he has been totally living up to that request :). I am enjoying it. I have watched movies, read my book, cruised the internet and not lifted my finger for anything else. haha. With the intense back pain I get it has been nice not to have anything to do for one day.

You aren't though! You are a great mom because you are following doctor's orders and keeping that baby in your tummy as safe as you can for as long as you can. That same reason makes you a great wife. It is his baby too!

I am so glad I'm not the only one who feels that way while on bedrest. I feel like I'm being a lazy shit but really I'm under orders to sit or lay with my feet up and not be running around. DH has been installing a sliding door for my dad all day and it sucked to be sitting there unable to stop DS from getting in their way. I felt like everyone was just pissed that I wasn't jumping up and running all over after him, so I came home for a bit. It's like everyone tells me to sit and not do anything and gets on me when I get up to get myself something simple like water, but then they turn around and give me looks when I don't get up for other things lol.
