Quoting ♥Jessie♥:" Beer and Diaper Party went fantastic! We got TONS of diapers in a variety of sizes all the way up to ... [snip!] ... playdate with a friend while it all went down. We have TONS of leftover food though. haha......pretty sure no beer is left ;). "

Glad to hear it went well. I bet you will have more than enough diapers to last a while!

When we co-slept I did naps in the crib. I didn't want to co-sleep for long and had read that 2-3 months was the time for them to switch over if you want it to be a short lived thing. My daughter just super hated the bassinet but I wasn't ready for her to be in a completely different room two days after we got home! haha.

Definitely! It is obnoxious how many we got. Everyone bought a box. No one just came with a little package.

yeah i dont like the idea of them being in a differant room that young either. Specially now in our new house cause our bedroom is up 7 stairs from the kids rooms. So i wouldnt even be on the same level.

For some reason I STILL feel paranoid with DD sleeping in a different room and she's 3! I know it's just crazy thoughts, though - It not like I watch her like a hawk during the day and she very rarely gets into anything. I do think that her still co-sleeping is a main factor in why she still sleeps so late (We usually don't get up until at least 9am, sometimes later.). I'm hoping this baby will be the same; I don't see how other moms get up at 6am EVERY morning. Eek.

I am thinking of putting together the swing today. :) Just have to figure out WHERE to put it!

Are you ladies doing anything for your SO's for father's day? I want to do something for DH and my Dad, but I really don't know what.

Mega: You're not full term... you're not even term yet are you? Term is 37wks. But yeah, end of pregnancy always drags. x-x

That's a long time to ask people to stay away... maybe ask them to limit visits to 2hrs or so? They want to visit baby too! I couldn't imagine expecting people not to visit at all for 2 months...

Dylan: My SIL is throwing it at her house I think. I'm not expecting anything but I kinda can't wait to have it so I can know what they get so I can get what's left. We saved everything from DD so we don't need much... and they are shopaholics... so I had to save everything we needed for them to possibly buy. They were getting pissy with me when I told them we didn't need much haha.

Sleeping aragements: DD slept in a bassinet beside the bed for a few months, then in a crib in our room for a few months. Then DH went to basic training and she and I bedshared... which turned into us all bedsharing then cosleeping with her in a toddler bed beside ours... then life got crazy and we continued to bedshare... until we got our own place when she was 3 and she got a twin size bed in her own room.

Susan: OMG me too... DD1 is 3 and I still get a bit paranoid... and she sleeps until 9pm. I die when she wakes up earlier. haha

My kids have never gotten up at 6am! that is just terrible lol. They always sleep till at least 8:30-9:30. My oldest needs to be woken up for school. And they are in bed by 7:30-8 and no later everynight. Except weekends when they will sometimes stay up as late as 10:30/11 if were watching a movie or the grandparents are visiting.

Were not really doing anything. My hubby is on nights right now. So hes still sleeping. He wants a sub for lunch so ill go get him that for when he wakes up, and then the girls have some stuff they made him in school, and a shirt. And i got him a card. Then were going to go out for icecream cause its his cheat day where he can eat as much junk as he wants lol.

Haha.. It's not just me then? All of the people I know in person who have kids say theirs get up at like 7 at the latest! It just seems kinda crazy to me.

Ice cream is not a bad idea. DH is kind of an ice cream-aholic. lol. Anytime we walk past it in the store or drive past a sonic he gets this weird doe-eyed look. I am thinking Aaron will be the same way because even though I can't eat much of it (since I have GD), anytime I eat ice cream he gets soooo super excited and wiggly. Still not sure what I'm gonna do for my dad, though. I was thinking of having DD make him something, but no clue what. He'd probably go for ice cream too, but he's a touch lactose intolerant and I don't wanna do that to him. :P

Yeah anything before 8 is like really early for me. My kids usually get a full 13 hours of sleep every night. But even if they dont it doesnt show. So thats good i guess.
My hubby loves ice cream too. Id rather eat chocolate bars or chips haha.
I do love soft ice cream though.
Anything you do for your dad would be great. I wish i lived close to my dad. I wont see him till August :(

That stinks. :( My dad and I didn't really get along when I was younger but I love hanging out with him now. We lived right next door to him when DD was a baby and now we live like 2 streets over, so it's nice and we get to see him a good bit - Still not as much as I would like since he works ALL the time, but y'know.

<blockquote><b>Quoting *Lindsey*(35 weeks):</b>" Do you mean 8-12 days? lol 12 weeks seems kinda long your baby will be like 3 months old by then! haha ... [snip!] ... visiting would slow down too i know that we get visitors for the first week or so then its like i didnt even have a baby lol"</blockquote>

No, I meant weeks. The in laws are super intrusive. I'm lucky if I can minimize their visits to 2 times a week now. Then they always overstay their welcome. Even DH gets annoyed. I just don't want to be recovering and have to entertain them. They are super high maint... Like they expect me to wait on them like our home is a country club :/

I guess part of my anxiety is that my SIL is getting married next Saturday and ALL the family will be in town. Everyone is pressuring me to have him the day after the wedding so they can all see him. I REALLY don't want that. 3/4 of the family I have NEVER met... As in they didn't even come to our wedding in October... So... Yea.

Maybe I am a bit overbearing right now, it'll prob be closer to say 4-6 weeks. I just don't want to deal... We need to move... Far far away!

In a way I understand. If I could keep DH's dad away until the baby was say... GROWN? I definitely would. :P But with him it's just because he's a giant ass. DD never wants anything to do with him, which is a huge relief to me.
