Thank you and thank you! I feel much better now that I don't get paid maternity leave we'll at least be able to have food in the house and worry about the bills with the hubs pay check.

That's awesome. Im pretty sure we would qualify now that I'm not working and SO's check has been so shitty. Ugh. It sucks. I just need to go down there and see, a couple hundred bucks would be so helpful.

I'm suppose to go get WIC tomorrow but I can't find all of his recent check stubs, so I don't think they will accept the ones I have. Oh well, we will just have to wait.

Im sure she wont be too big. I think are bodies are made to handle them most the time. My last daughter was almost 8 lbs :)

I think so too... but man... I almost didn't get Maddy out, they were 15mins away from giving me a c-section since I was pushing so long... >_< I guess I should trust my body but I don't trust my doctor to trust my body... :(

Free government money to buy food. You can buy anything in the store that isn't already cooked or alcohol. But you can buy anything that's food. Cereal, meat, candy and pop even.

I just took in the check stubs that I could find. Do you have a few that are consistently newish? The guy I got at DES was wonderful! Our WIC office here is wonderful too. I love how helpful they are! I hope that you can get it. It all helps so much and we wouldn't use it if we didn't need it. I will most likely keep Brandon on WIC until he's 5 if we can, it does help. Good luck! It's always worth a shot!!!!

For us here it's where you take all of your information, lease agreement, pay check stubs, utility bills, down to the local state office. They run all the stuff through, sadly they run the numbers from your check BEFORE the taxes are taken out which doesn't make any sense to me what so ever since that isn't technically our take home pay but whatever lol Once they put the numbers in they see if you qualify for insurance, cash assistance, and food stamps. If you qualify for food stamps they give you an EBT card (I can't remember what EBT stand for lol) and you get a month allowance pretty much for you to use towards food. There's restrictions of course, like you can't buy hot food from the deli, but you can buy cold food from the deli. They want you to buy food that you have to cook/prepare at home. You can't buy energy drinks, beer, alcohol or tobacco but I do believe we can buy formula so that'll help if I can't BF. WIC helps with that too because they pay for like 10 can's of formula a month. I'm very thankful that we can qualify for both things now!

Sorry that was a lot haha I'm super chatty this morning :)

I want to cry! I think there is something wrong with our latch. Every time I go to bf I am nearly in tears from pain... My nips are cracked and bleeding :( I'm contemplating pumping for a day or two but I'm terrified he will get accustomed to a bottle. Any advice?

yea, my little ones latch isnt correct either, I was bleeding at the hospital and the lactation consultant gave me a nipple shield to help fix the situation (she doesnt grab much of the areola and has a very hard suck.) When I was healing I would supplement because at the time my milk wasnt in. I would suggest to pump and offer that until you are healed or it will only get worse. My little girl can suck on anything and not get confused so I hope your little one will do the same. but you really need to heal. Good luck!

& it doesnt take long to heal cause the milk has all those wonderful healing agents.
