kes was 3.5 yrs old in this pic. taken in nov. of '12 I was 11wksliv was almost 2
Not bad! My dd weights close to 40lbs and is almost 4 I can't imagine carring her around on me! Lol your girls don't look un-comfortable so that's a plus and you both don't look like its hard holding them up so that's s bigger plus. I guess I need to go try one on and see how I like it..thanks for sharing though :)

that's what I did- I opened the box up at target and tried it on. I was so afraid to spend that much money and not like it ya know. yeah dd1 and dd2 are about 40 lbs now.
Holy cow! I hate when I go a while without looking at a thread and there's all this stuff I have to catch up on hahah.
I actually registered at Target but the day I did they were out of the gift bags. They told me I could come back in there and get one, but I feel like if I came in there like, "Yeah.. you guys were out of gift bags the day I registered so I never got one.." they won't believe me. :(
You know a place that's great for baby stuff? Burlington! They're so cheap. I need a good car seat and was looking online and they have this one by Evenflo for $50:
(I dunno why that pic is so huge lol)
I'm really not sure what I need to look for in a good car seat though, any suggestions?

Weight n height limits for rear facing. Does it look comfy? Can u click the straps easily or are they too stiff? Shape of handle- is it going to be easy to carry? Can you get it in n out of the car base kinda quickly? Does it fit in ur car on the seat right?
Can u wash the cover? Easy to take it off? Same w straps canny clean them too? Does it fit w a stroller system u wanna use? Shape of handle- can u hang toys from it? Canopy- how much it covers, easy to clean? Can u still see baby in a car?
Awesome, thank you! I knew most of those, but wasn't sure if I was missing something lol. I'll definitely keep all of that in mind when I decide to get one. I really like the one I posted up there, but I'll have to go down the list to make sure it fits my needs and baby's needs.
Oh, and I forgot to tell you ladies.. I had a regular check up today (to check my blood sugars and whatnot) and I asked them whether or not I'll be able to have a vaginal birth since I'm a diabetic and had a c-section last time, and she said as long as everything looks good up until then I'm good to have a vaginal birth. But.. this is where it got confusing.. she said a diabetic's placenta "stops working" around 39 weeks so they want me to have her by 39 weeks.. so I asked if I don't naturally go into labor, will they induce me? She said they don't want to induce me (something about scarring.. I dunno if that's because of the previous c-section or my diabetes).. so.. they want me to go into labor by 39 weeks, but if I don't.. they don't want to induce me.. so wouldn't the only other option be a c-section?
Hopefully I have her by 39 weeks. I'm pretty sure I will.. I don't think I'ma make it the full 40 weeks (just a gut feeling) but.. I guess we'll have to wait and see.
Maybe ask in the reg preggo forum bc I've never heard that. I have heard GD women being induced early.

Well hopefully she comes early like I suspect she will.
I just don't want to have a scheduled day for her to come out.. I want to experience the whole, "OMG SHE'S COMING!!!" and rushing to the hospital all excited and in pain lmao. I don't want it to be like, "She'll be here tomorrow at 1pm!"
If its ur first chances are good shell go over the edd. I understand what ur saying. I'd love for Aaron to go 40-42 wks. Dd1 just happened to be born on my dads moms bday. Liv was scheduled but ended up being on Gary's "uncles" bday but if she coulda came on her own maybe shed have made it to FILs bday. Kinda scheduled takes all the fun outta it lol and it ups the anxiety.

Well I've had one before (my angel baby) and he came early.. I was supposed to have a scheduled c-section with him but he ended up coming at 36 weeks (had to have an emergency c-section). He was a chunker though (four weeks early and 7 lbs. 13 oz.) so I dunno if maybe that's why he came so early, because he was so big. I dunno.. is their size a factor? Like if they're big, is it more likely they'll come early?
Oh and I just learned our "maternity leave" policy at my work.. we pretty much don't have maternity leave. When I asked my manager, he told me we had to use our vacation time, then "the maternity leave kicks in." Well I found out today that we have to use all of our vacation time, then we get two weeks of short term disability. Ugh! Right now I have about a month's worth of vacation time.. by the time I have her, I'll have maybe like a month and a week's worth. So like five weeks of vacation.. then two weeks which will make seven weeks total, which means I'll probably have to do at least a week out of pocket. I'm stressing this so bad now, I got bills to pay! Aghhh!!! :x
Idt it matters the weight n them coming early. Dd1 was 8lbs 9 oz and 3 days overdue. She would've stayed put longer if my MIL and gMIL didn't push me to evict her lol sorry for the loss r.i.p. baby angel! I would think since that one came early not so much preterm though, this one may come early as well for you but each pregnancy is different. My water has never broken on its own so I'm kinda curious to see if it will this time. Ugh yech! That sucks bout ur maternity leave! I know a lot of preggo friends are complaining bout theirs as well. One friend only gets 4 wks 2 paid and she's a NICU nurse. Hubby's supervisor has discretion on whether to write him up or not when he calls out bc lil man tried to come early. I know he might use some of his vaca time when baby comes, and I'm hoping to go vaginally so I can be in n out of the hosp quicker. Dd2 i had to stay 5 days for some elevated wbc bs.Our new place will make it a 2 hr commute. And can't remember if I posted or not but hubby put crib together today. His bedding ships Monday :)
Yeah my cousin today was remarking on her FB that her daughter is turning 1 in two more months, and in Vietnam, we consider you one year old when you are born, so I was stating that my daughter'll be one as well if you look at it from a Vietnamese stand-point, unless she decides to break out of prison early.
I don't know why but up until the baby shower I kept saying I have 3 more months, and when I realized it was more like 2.5, i've been freaking out ever since. =T I dunno! Even this morning I woke up at 5:15 to empty my bladder and I couldn't go back to sleep just because I was picturing what it's going to be like waking up every two hours instead of to go pee it's to feed her. So I stayed up researching baby stuff till 6:30 and passed back out again. Meh!
I'm dieing to know what they are going to tell me about the ultrasound today. I'm gonna get ready to leave soon and I know they won't tell me anything so hopefully the doc will call me back soon with the results so I know what i'm looking at. I'll be seeing her next Wed. so hopefully we can get a good idea where I stand. In labor class next week we'll be talking about c-sections and i'm hella nervous i'm going to have to end up getting one. I'm just not very good at following directions to stay put and not do things. I just tried to lift the mattress yesterday and it HURT. I am def not doing myself any favors here.

I dunno.. I just have a hunch she'll be coming early. So far every gut feeling I've had about this pregnancy has been right, so I'm hoping she comes when she should and I don't have to get a c-section. Ugh, and that shit with the "maternity leave" pisses me off. I work for a freaking credit union, they give us quarterly bonuses and give us money for every extra little thing we do.. but when it comes to popping a kid out, we get two weeks of short term disability at 50% pay?! Ugh. So for two weeks I'ma be making like $5.25 an hour. I dunno how the hell anything's gonna get paid that month and I'm stressing the hell out now. :x
Quoting Disney Mamma:" I'm due Jure 3rd:)"
awwww cool im also june the 3rd :)
Man that really sucks about work and the disability thing.. Ugh, what crooks! It's like they are punishing you for having a baby. It's so cruel that you've managed to hang onto working for this long and this is the kind of thanks you get? That's really outrageous.
My mother in law thinks i'm still working.. (it's a long story but it's better to keep her in the dark about our situation because they are older and they worry like CRAZY.) so now that i've said that i'm not working because of the previa she's been asking me if I'm getting disability and such and i'm like "uh.. yeah i'll get on that." I have absolutely no clue what the laws are and how it works. Blargh. Hopefully she'll forget to ask me. It's so damned nosy to be asking me about the details of my work and pay. I really hate it when I get stuck with her alone. The interrogation is hideous.
On a bright note, just came back from the ultrasound and the baby looks good. The change of doctors and care although horrible to deal with, has been a godsend as far as the quality. The tech was so sweet and we chatted for a really long time. She really took her time with the session and did a full checkup on the baby. She looks good, and.. no more previa!!
She thinks I look good and i'm super excited to hear that. Looks like I can probably do this naturally and probably no c-section! I'm so stoked. Baby was pretty inactive, was breach, and stayed tucked tightly in a tight space, her butt on my bladder. I don't have pictures to share because she wasn't really in the mood.
