Aww no! Damn. Cheer up mama yard sales usually have cheap super nice cribs esp in ritzy developments. That n Walmart has real nice ones for cheap. Online esp. Guys don't mean to be dense but they are. They just don't get it. Take a deep breath, have something sweet to eat, and things will fall into place. U still have time.

Hubby just texted me- bc of the new attendance policy at work, it starts over. So he didn't get in trouble for yesterday.

Well he eventually caught on that I was upset and I told him I was just pissed because now we have to get a crib instead of all the other stuff I wanted to get. He said he's going to ask his grandparents about getting us that set I wanted, but I really don't want to have to rely on other people.. it shouldn't be up to them to get me the stuff I need. Ugh. I've just got too much pride for my own good. And I found a Graco crib on the Burlington website for only $150. The mattress isn't included, but aren't most crib mattresses the same size..? We have the mattress for the crib his mom gave us, so I'm hoping it'll fit and we don't have to buy a mattress separately.

And apparently I'm just on some crazy, hormonal rage lately because it seems like everything's upsetting me. This morning I was thinking about how my baby shower is in two weeks and how I can't wait.. and then I realized my mom hasn't even sent the invitations out yet. Now, I love my mom and I appreciate the fact that she wants to handle everything for my baby shower.. but she's the type of person who waits until the last minute to do everything (she's one of those people who drives in the far left lane on the interstate until her exit is five feet ahead). I'm gonna email her today, and she's probably going to tell me she's taking care of it this weekend.. but they won't get the invitations until like the middle of next week. I just feel like people should have more of a heads up than a freakin week and a half. Ugh. On top of that, I've been asking her about that car seat and stroller since I found out I was pregnant.. I'm coming up on 33 weeks now and I still haven't seen that car seat or stroller. I guess when I email her, I'm also gonna tell her that I'll be coming by this weekend and picking them up so I can just clean them off myself (like I said, she waits until the last minute to do everything). :x

awwe im sorry sweetie that's a bummer. Do you have Craigslist close or a base yardsale site that is near you? Both have great deals! If not I would see if there are any consignment shops that have any. Hope you can find something.

Yeah, I'll probably be checking out some consignment shops this weekend before I get the crib from Burlington.. but I think $150 really isn't bad at all for a crib. I dunno if I'd get a better price at a consignment shop, but it wouldn't hurt to look. We have a bunch of kids consignment shops around here, so I have quite a few options. I'm also on a group on FB called Just For Kids and it's for people in my area who sell/buy kids stuff and I'm always seeing cribs and crib sets on there, so I'll see what I come up with..

Well Ladies looks like im off to DD pedi this morning. She's still hacking her head off and had a high fever all night. She was up almost every hour cause she was coughing so hard and could hardly catch a breath in between the sets. Poor kid, I feel horrible and she's extra winy today and that's a sure sign something wrong. Won't even feed herself. :( hopefully doc can do something for her.

Sorry for the onset of problems suddenly. Ugh. I know we are getting so much closer so it seems like things keep coming up and getting in our way. Me and the hubs keep seeming to have nothing but bad luck lately. I'm convinced though that my little bundle is just meant to be a super happy blessing and so I gotta deal with a bunch of shit beforehand to deserve the bliss that will soon enough follow.

Keep your heads up ladies, we can definitely get through all this. It's all meant to toughen us up as mothers and make us strong enough to handle anything that comes. There's a reason why we are so resilient and why our men need us. We kick butt!

Hope ur dd feels better! This morning dd1 was struggling w a shirt (turned out to be dd2s) and she said "im trying to put this shirt the hell on." ... Tuesday she said something like "hurry the hell up we're gonna be late." o.0 .... I'm just hoping she doesn't say anything in school today. It's a baptist church pre-k program. I know hubby n I have a potty mouth that we've been trying to curb but we're not morning ppl. On the one side, dd1 used it in the right context?! Ugh.

LMAO! I'm sorry.. I just think it's hilarious when kids use curse words in the right context. I have a six year old sister, and one time my step-dad (her dad) let one rip and she yells, "OH MY GOD IT SMELLS LIKE DOG SHIT!!!!"  My mom came in the room and was like, "Annabelle!! ..Oh my god, she's right, it does smell like dog shit!" Baahahahahah!

Rofl!!!! oh jeeze! Yea hubby n I just looked at one another n had to suppress a smile. She's 4 so I'm surprised it took her this long to say a curse word kinda regularly.

I'm surprised my sister doesn't use curse words more, my mom and stepdad curse like freakin sailors (not gonna lie, I do too) and I think that's the only time I've ever heard her say anything like that. She goes to a catholic school so I guess it's a good thing she isn't influenced by us lol, she's hilarious though.

So I talked to my mom today about everything that's been stressing me out.. she said she's already bought the stamps and invitations and she's going to put them in the mailbox tonight. She said you're supposed to mail them out 10-14 days ahead of time.. it'll be 14 days tomorrow, so I guess that's okay. I just don't want people getting them at the very last minute and not be able to come, I feel like a week and a half isn't enough of a heads up, but I'm a planner so that could be why.

I also told her about my crib dilemma.. she says she still has the crib my sister used and she says it wasn't recalled and she thinks she has all the pieces, so.. I might just use that. She's still asking me what crib I want from Burlington, saying she'll buy it for me, but I don't want her to do that if she has a crib I can use. I just hope she has all the pieces for it, my sister hasn't used it in about four years..

Oh, and she claims she's already started cleaning the car seat and will finish the stroller tonight. It only took seven months of me asking her to do it. But hopefully I can get it this weekend. I just want everything ready ASAP.. as you ladies have noticed, I am NOT a patient person, I'm anxious and I worry a lot.. so waiting until the last minute is just not something I like to do.

I feel like a spoiled brat ranting about all this, I just stress myself out way too easily. And I just feel like my mom and SO's parents both told me they'd help with anything, and I'm not one to ask for help, so it's a little upsetting that when I do ask them to help me they just blow me off and wait until forever to finally do something. Maybe I'm just too demanding..

You aren't too demanding. This is the real deal, and i know it had to be hard with the first, so who could blame you for wanting things to go easier? We know its gonna be a rough road ahead of us so of course we want things set up and put together. I keep reminding hubs how important it is for us to have things set up now so we can enjoy the calm before the storm. I get hella moody when I lack sleep so I pray I can keep my shit together when she's here. He's been sleeping late a lot so it's gonna suck because me and him have nervous anxious temperaments so we both are gonna freak out when she makes a peep or if she's not making a peep at night.

Not to mention my family is visiting from Canada, so ill have all that distraction and extra foot traffic into my room when they come end of June. So I have no choice but to be ready to go if I want to make it throu the first few months. So stressed but excited!
