So, had my 38.5 week appt. & not much has changed. Still only dilated about a cm or two & he said I'm thinning out a little bit but not too much going on from there. I'm due in 10 days & it doesn't look like she wants to come out :(

Any suggestions to help speed things along?!

Had my 39/40 week appt today. 1 cm and 80% effaced. Not much change from last week. Setup induction for Tuesday evening if he's not here by then. So looks like I will at least have my little guy by Wed.

Woohoo! So excited for you! You ladies are closing in now.. Help distract me from how much longer I have with your baby posts and updates! :D

I am cramping up so badly today that I swear she wants to come out like tomm. Hubs is questioning on whether to take me to the movies or not tonight..

Lucky you. My sis & SO have been wanting to take me to see a ton of movies throughout my pregnancy but they are too afraid to take me for fear of my water breaking or me not being able to enjoy the movie with all my bathroom breaks. So far, I've missed out on Iron Man 3, Evil Dead, No One Lives, & will be missing Hangover 3 & Fast & Furious 6. :(

Hubby attended a few circs during his Lpn clinicals so he said its not that bad. And he wants our son done. I just think making the decision to put baby boy in pain even for a second is what I'm mostly hesitant on. I wish they could numb it for them but hubby said they can't give babies that stuff so young. Then he brought up the heel prick so guess it makes sense. I just am so afraid he'll hate me later on in life. but I think since I've made every other decision so far it's hubby's turn.
Ooo go to the movies!!! Kid free? Not even a question lol enjoy ur time!
And no mil was serious. She tells us her plans for the day everyday so we know whether we "can" have Aaron or not. Esp if she's outta gas for her truck. It's bs. Yep 8pm n no call from my mom. F her. I haven't talked to her since the aquarium. That's how long it's been. w.e. so my friend is now 40wks n her baby is super stubborn. No contractions not dilated, nothing. I think these babies are gonna be super stubborn! And I looked it up- choking in sleep on acidy vomit is kinda common. Yippee... Another preggo side effect.

Oh man.. Up chucking is the worst but to do it in your sleep? For me waking up with the palpitations was scary as hell. Can't believe this isn't even the worst of it. Lol..

But yeah I do have to pee in the middle of the movie. I hate it. We want to see Star Trek in IMAX so.. Sitting way in back oughta be fun. We lucked out going to see the hobbit and there was nobody in our row so I got out okay but I'm having a feeling I'm gonna step on some toes tonight..

Hubs is already late coming home so I'm all antsy. If we end up being too late ill just wait next week to watch. Hope the noise won't be too loud for her. Did anybody else know that they actually can hear really well in there? I totally thought they were protected by all the fluid but its more amplified apparently. Found that out in baby class when they discussed the happiest baby on the block method and the 5 s's:

Ya I'm a nurse so I've done them as well. Its traumatic imo but it is over fast and the babies do fine afterwards. So its mostly mommy trauma lol. They can numb it. And some docs do. However lidocaine Burns like hell. So imo its more painful to stick and burn then cut and it takes longer. Then it wears off and they r suddenly in pain u know?

Man I was in such pain last night! I think the movie was too much for her. We ended up seeing Star Trek in Imax and it was so good. I think it freaked her out though so I told hubs no more movies. She kicked me a ton last night in retaliation when we got home and were settling into bed. I had such bad cramps I thought maybe I was gonna suddenly go into labor or something.

I'm excited for your baby shower! It's so funny how we are so in love with the idea of our cakes. I wish I could have some right now. My birthday is in July so i'm gonna make sure hubs buys me a yummy ice cream cake. Carvel has these strawberry shortcake ones that are like those ice cream bars that I love. Yuuuuuuuuum...

But yeah I went with hubs to work today just in case something happens. I hope you ladies have yourselves a great weekend! We decided not to travel anywhere so i'm pretty bummed.

Layla might be coming today.. just got back from my ultrasound and NST and she wasn't cooperating. Well.. she was moving like crazy during the NST but she wasn't doing what they wanted her to do during the ultrasound so I'm about to head to the hospital now and if she's still not active they just might do the c-section today. I'll keep you all updated!

Holy crap woman! I hope Layla is okay though for one, and damn if you can have her today that'd be so awesome!!!! I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you. I know its getting so hard now, only thing is I know you really wanted to have her naturally but.. what a way to spend your holiday weekend than to have the little babe!

I am so pooped today and so crampy, ugh. I still don't know if I know what a contraction feels like exactly. I keep feeling what feels like menstrual cramps but I don't know how to distinguish a timeline of its frequency and duration and such so I think it's just regular stretching cramps or RLP or whatever.

Baby Domino effect time!

Yikes! I hope all is well and she stays put for a couple more weeks at least.

Good luck!

Just wanted to give everyone a little update on whats going on over here.
We got back from the dr a little while ago...had an ultrasound done yesterday because I was suddenly measuring a week behind and it looks like my fluid is low. Went to the hospital and had a non stress test done and am going back for more on Tuesday and Thursday. Dr is saying she will most likely want to induce me at 39 weeks on June 1st so we will see what happens!
