Congrats on the LOs, baby looks adorable!
Went in for the NST last night and it really felt like a huge waste of time. They ended up monitoring me for half an hour on each side, said my fluids were fine, and told me they wanted me to come back for another NST on Thursday.
I don't even see what's the point of coming back; you know? I mean either she is okay or not okay and I should either wait for her to come on her own or they should let me know if its risky and I should just have her now. I mean being that i'm already due next Tuesday I don't see what the hold up is.. So irritated.
Had my last doctors appointment this morning. He didn't tell me if I'd dilated any more. He just said my cervix was very favorable.. And that the induction was still on for Friday. I go in at 5:30 that morning and he said hopefully by dinner time we'll have a baby (:

Congrats she's beautiful!
ya congrats on the baby! good luck mommas trying to start labor!
yesterday i walked for two hours(very painfully) and got practically no contractions.... today I'm getting my membranes stripped, so im hoping something happens!!! :)
Good luck Carissa, I hope it goes well for you, and that you have a safe delivery.
I'm feeling closer today, last night I lost so much of my plug throughout the night; usually I just lose a little bit each day or every other day and i'm having a lot of pelvic pain today. Hopefully that means i'm trying to dialate or something. I hate how it feels like you are having a bad UTI though. Hoping to hear more news from the rest of you ladies still waiting.
I was at L&D last night for the first time!
Contractions were every 2-4 minutes when we got there and I was 2.5cm 50% effaced. So they had me walk for an hour and re checked I was 3cm and 75% and my contractions were every 2 minutes consistently. My dr ordered a liter of fluids to see if they would go away and they didnt but since my cervix is only 3cm they sent me home.
I am still having contractions so we will see how the day goes!
It was late and our kids were there so im kinda glad we got to go home. It sucks not having anyone to watch them!
Good luck mama, hopefully you'll be ready to go once you get back in there. Hope for a safe delivery for you soon as well. We are totally getting there, can't believe how time flies.. My family from Canada arrives next Saturday so hopefully i'll have baby before they get here.

Thats awesome you are having family come visit!
Yeah my aunt, uncle and cousin come out almost every summer. I'll definitely need the help when they come by. The only thing is; we usually make a trip out to the midwest if we can when they come out here, but they want to take a roadtrip from Cali to Iowa by the second week of July. I really wanted to go but everyone keeps telling me i'd be crazy to try to travel with the baby; even if I wanted to fly. So I've been really bummed about it. I'd love to get away from here and spend time with all of the family.
So are any of you new mamas getting completely smothered by your families? I swear I haven't had a day to myself since Layla's been here. I mean.. obviously I won't have a day to MYSELF, but I've had people bombarding me since she's gotten here. The first week my mom literally came over every day (sometimes twice a day), she asks me to send her pictures every day, she's constantly calling me asking if I need help with anything, she's been bringing people over without even letting me know beforehand, and today she calls to tell me (not to ask, to TELL me) that my grandma will be coming by today. I called my grandma and all she says is, "Hey Carmen! We're coming over! Bye!!!" I love them to death and I know their intentions are good, but good lord, they won't leave me alone!
And aren't you supposed to limit your visitors too? So the baby doesn't get exposed to everything/everybody? You poor thing. I'm already paranoid as it is because I made the hubs finally get this whooping cough shot last night and he hasn't been to the doctors office in over 12 years. He was totally complaining about it and doesn't even see why I wanted him to get the Flu shot since he apparently never gets sick. Thing is, thinking about the rest of the family on his side and mine and how often they get sick makes me paranoid to have anybody hold her when she's born. I don't even know how I'm gonna get my mom to talk my grandparents into getting their vaccinations as well. Ugh!
My family knows no limits, apparently. They think a new baby means they can walk in and out of my house as if it's their own. SO actually had a cold last week and I thought Layla was coming down with it, I even took her to the doctor but the doctor said if she got a cold there's nothing I can do for her except suck all the snot outta her nose and maybe use a humidifier. I kept getting on SO to cover his damn mouth when he was coughing.. I swear, he looks like a gagging dog when he's coughing, he doesn't cover his mouth EVER and just sprays his damn germs all over the place. :x I kept telling him to use the hand sanitizer but he wouldn't f**king listen to me. Layla was sneezing and coughing shortly after and got a little mucusy but that was it. If she'd have gotten full on sick, I'd have chewed him out.

I travel with my kids all the time! I moved from Cali to AZ when my son was just one week old. We drove.
And we are going to Cali next month to visit and the baby will be about 3 weeks old (maybe younger!) depending on when she arrives.
Sorry Carmen about your SO. He obviously still needs more coaching from you but I think he'll get it eventually. My hubs is a total germaphobe so he's more likely to run towards me with sanitizer than the other way around.
James Mama- That's what I was kinda thinking. I felt like it'd be better to take the long road trip as opposed to a plane ride where the air is recycled and you are with strangers; I felt like if I took the road trip I can ask my family to stop when needed and feel free to breastfeed, etc. But its definitely much longer of a trip than from here to AZ. (I loved AZ btw, we went on a mini honeymoon out there and wouldn't mind going back again.)
So I dunno. I wasn't planning on going until baby got the okay from the docs anyway but worse comes to worse I will just go to visit the family in Oct/Nov when my brother has his triplets. I just wanted to go when my other family is there too so it can be like a family reunion thing.
