I just gave SO a bunch of BJs. I don't mind though, I've always liked giving them and tomorrow I'll be six weeks PP and he definitely made up for it last night. :D

I am 3 weeks PP and I have lost all my baby weight. I gained 33 lbs and 10 lbs of it was Logan lol. He is such a wonderful baby and he is such a big boy. He has to wear 3-6 month onesies bc he is so long and chunky, he still wears 0-3 month pants, and size 2 diapers  Here are some pictures of this past week.

Aww! So cute! I still can't believe how tiny Claire is.. it's weird with how big she looks in the photos but she's still just in her newborn sizes. I have huge feet so I'm surprised her feet aren't bigger because I can't find socks that fit her. I hope that means she'll have small feet so she can wear cute shoes when she's older instead of looking like she has her momma's hobbit feet.

:)

I tried to take her newborn pictures last week but we ended up making an appointment to come back because she's really slow to shed her skin. She looks better now, but she still has the flakes on her arms and legs. I feel bad for her because I think the food i'm eating isn't giving her the best milk. She had a lot of loose watery stools this past weekend along with the mustard seed stuff, but I'm concerned the watery yellow poop is diarrhea? I have her doctors appointment tomm so i'd better make sure to write a list of questions to cover all my bases.

I'm pretty sure the yellow, liquidy poo is normal. That's how Layla's was for the first few weeks.. they're a little more solid now, but I did research and apparently that's normal for breastfed babies.

Breastfed babies do have watery poop. As long as she is peeing also plenty its fine. If she stops peeing she is getting dehydrated. Also u can tell dehydration by their soft spot. If it caves in a lot they need more fluid. She wont have firm poops until she eats food.

So are you ladies still bleeding? I'm 6 weeks and 3 days PP today and I feel like I shouldn't be bleeding anymore. I've asked around and some women told me they bled up to 10 weeks PP but.. I dunno, I just feel like it should be done by now. Early yesterday and all day the day before I was bleeding a lot, but yesterday afternoon and today I'm only bleeding a tiny bit. Is there a chance it could be my period..? I've heard some women say they didn't have their period until months after giving birth, but I don't think it took that long for me after I had my son last time. :?

Also.. have you heard of anything that can increase your milk supply? SO's mom was telling me there's some tea you can drink but she didn't know the name of it. Now that I'm back at work Layla's been getting more and more formula and I feel guilty. It also seems like she stays full longer when she drinks breastmilk.. with formula it seems like she wants to eat every freakin hour. Ugh. I wish I'd have pumped more in the beginning to keep my supply up. I didn't because my breasts were so engorged that first week, it was sssooo painful, the thought of pumping and my b**bs producing more milk made me cringe but now I'm not making enough and I wish I'd have pumped as much as I could and saved it. :(

ETA: I asked someone on another forum and apparently it's called Mother's Milk Tea and there's also "lactation cookie recipes."

I still spot randomly...I asked my dr yesterday and she said its perfectly normal. And I drank mothers milk tea right after Kadee was born, and also tried Fenugreek seed capsules. Both worked and have helped me pump more so I could build up a freezer stash of milk.

I am two weeks pp and think I have just about stopped bleeding. I dont remember how long I bled with my others but I dont think it was that long.

I think the best thing to do to increase supply is let baby nurse as often as possible. I have been pumping once a day to try and build a supply.

I already squandered my supply that I saved up. I ended up going to Vegas with the family (after guilt-tripping the hubs) and just stayed in the hotel room (smoke-free) so I used up the small stash I had saved. When I pump I only manage to accumulate 2-2.5 ounces total double pumping. So mostly its about an oz. per breast. Not very much.. I also take fenugreek capsules but I am doing horribly with keeping up on my pills each day.

I'm supposed to still take Levothyroxine for my thyroid and haven't done so for the past week. I just can't manage to keep up my schedule because I'm so tired and busy with the baby. I don't know how everyone manages to keep their life on track. I feel like a hot mess.

Went to the pedi yesterday with the baby for her 2 week checkup and she's at 7 pounds 5 oz so she's a tad over her birth-weight. Doc says she should just be at her birth weight, so I'm overfeeding a tad. So I guess i'm giving her enough milk? She keeps crying though lately. I can't really get her to lay down, she's always demanding to be held. I keep getting lectured about spoiling her by holding her too much from my family and its driving me nuts.

I hold my LO all the time! She is going to grow up before I know it so I am enjoying every minute I can with her in my arms.

It gets hectic around here too. I am usually in my pajamas, no make up Lol With a 5 year old, 3 year old and newborn its hard to keep up. Plus my two older kids have swim lessons every afternoon and my daughter starts dance in two weeks. CRAZY!

Things should calm down some though I hope when my son starts school next month. I think I am going to start my daughter in preschool too even though it costs so much. It will be good for her.

When I pump I usually do it right after she eats. I get like 1 oz from the breast she just ate from and 2-3 out of the other. I was getting 1oz total for the first few days but it is getting better. I am not using any of it though until I go back to work next month.

I'm thinking it might be my period because I've been feeling kinda crampy. Whatever it is, I hope it stops soon. I don't think anything should be able to bleed for almost seven weeks without dying.

And where can I get the Fenugreek seed capsules? I found a recipe for lactation cookies and apparently they work wonders (and they work better when you just eat the dough), I'm gonna try to get the special ingredients for them sometime this week and see how it works. They're just like regular chocolate chip cookies but with oats and brewers yeast (the "special ingredients"). I'm hoping they help.

It's harder for me to give her all the milk she needs now that I'm back at work. I could pump here, but I'm uncomfortable doing it so I just don't. But yesterday she didn't eat as much formula as she usually does because I got her the rice cereal. Normally she eats about a four ounce bottle at a time, but with the rice mixed in it seems like two ounces fills her up, which is good because lately we'll feed her a four ounce bottle and an hour later (sometimes not even an hour) she's hungry again, so I think I'ma keep up with the rice cereal because she seems happy with it.

You can get the Fenugreek at almost any gorcery store! Does anyone get a larger amount out of one breast than the other when they pump? I can get 3-4 ounces out of my left and never more than 1 out of my right...its strange. My left b**b is also larger than my right...always has been. But I thought size of the breast didnt affect how much milk it made? And is there any way to even out the amount between breasts?

Awesome, I'll have to get em when I get my lactation cookie ingredients. :) Are they in the medicine/vitamin aisle?

And my left b**b has always been bigger than my right also, so I thought that meant I'd get more milk from the left, but surprisingly I can only get an ounce (maybe two) from the left and like 3-4 from the right. It's like we have the same boobies! But kinda backwards.

Haha how weird! Glad I'm not the only one though! And yep the fenugreek should be in the vitamin isle or the organic section of whatever store you go to. Idk what stores they have in your area but I buy mine at Fred Meyer (Kroger).
