I wouldn't have her over there. Strep is very contagious and can be very dangerous!

Can you take time off?

Ugh.. that's what I thought you guys would say. :( I'd feel like a bad mom sending her there, ESPECIALLY if she caught it. That's the last thing I'd need. Maybe I'll just call out and tell them I'm sick.

Yeah I wouldn't feel comfortable sending her over there. I love the pictures of Kayla (so cute!) and the video of Layla is adorable. Love seeing her react to seeing herself in the mirror and smiling and her coos are so cute. I think its exciting to see her look up at her hanging toys and want to reach for them, I can't wait for Claire to be able to do the same. I finally got to her to play with her Lamaze toy sir prance-a-lot and she hugged him and began munching on his taggie hair and ear. She managed to crinkle his feet a bit but that's as far as I got until she got fed up and started wailing.

That's a video of her enjoying her swimming fish on the Ipad. The first line I ask her is do you like it in Vietnamese. I'm not sure how you'd share it in here either.

My heart is racing still! My friend called to say a customer of hers said 16 ppl from the nursing home hubby works in were transferred to the hospital bc there was a fire. I called hubby, texted him, called his work. Desk person said she couldn't transfer my call to that specific unit. The local radio station posted there was indeed a fire on hubby's unit. I was freaking out! Couldnt get ahold of him for over an hour. Called my FIL to go check on him in person. Hubby's fine it's crazy busy there from the mess. The surrounding roads are closed til sat night at least bc of an underground gas leak too. Jeezus my heart was in my stomach. I was pacing n all. Giving him extra lovins when he comes home!!!

Gosh girl glad your hubby is okay and he is able to come home shortly! Its scary when fires or disasters happen and you or your spouse are in the medical field ( always the last informed). Im sure you will be giving tons of love to him tonight! :)

Oh I was too mad for lovins. He went to the ER bc he wasn't feeling right and hardly told me anything bout how he was doing, what dr said, etc. they gave him fluids to flush the co2, and checked his labs. Some smoke inhalation is all.

Holy crap that's quite a scare! I'm sorry you guys had to go through that and i hope everything is OK and nothing else comes from it. Any chance he has to stay home for a bit to recover from the damages? Is this going to affect his work since there was a fire? I'd definitely give him some talking to but extra lovins if that were the case.

Claire is too cute! She definitely seems to like those fishies. :) I don't have an ipad so I can't really play stuff like that for Layla unless I do it on the laptop, but I'm afraid it would hurt her eyes (I know I get a headache after staring at a computer screen for a while). Right now she really only just lays on her play mat and stares at herself in the mirror lol everything else she wants nothing to do with. This morning I had one of her toys.. it's a colorful, soft turtle with rattles inside of it and a mirror in the belly.. I was shaking it around, making noises with the mirror side facing her and she just kept staring and smiling. It definitely made my day. :)

So Layla still has those little baby zits all over her face.. I looked it up online and it says they're completely normal and can last a couple weeks or up to a few months. I hope they go away soon.. they're mostly on her chin, cheeks and neck. I know they're normal but it still makes me nervous for some reason lol. She also has really dry skin on her ears and I'm not sure why. It's on both of her ears, on the fronts and backs of them. It doesn't seem to be bothering her, but it just looks so bad! Could it be something other than just dry skin? Even when I put lotion or oil on it, it doesn't really seem to make a difference. :?

Oh, and I ended up just calling out of work today. I'm not risking Layla getting strep from my sister. I'd much rather call out one day and her not get it than go into work, her get it, and then I'd probably have to take a few days off to care for her. Not worth it.

It was contained to one room. It was an old a/c unit. They sent that patient to the hospital like an hr before the fire started. His unit is where they're all on ventilators and such. There was a tank of oxygen so tg they put the fire out quick! Oh I was so mad at him but instead of going grocery shopping after work he came right home bc I was crying. Everyone's alright. He had to finish the two hrs of his shift. His mom works at the next city over's hospital and they were mobilized in case to help out. Employees were picking their checks up when it all went down so many helped off the clock. The patients who were the "worst" were the ones prone to panic attacks bc they wouldn't settle down easily.

Aww pics n vids Oh my! Love them!!! Aaron is cooing a lot more and smiling back at us. The girls fight over who he likes more lol had my pp visit and I'm not fully healed. They looked at my area and said there's a small bit open but I didn't need stitches. It'll heal on its own n close up but I'm not allowed to stretch lol her words were " keep those legs closed". So no sex for us. I started the mini bc pill. Dd1 asked the midwife for another brother and dd2 was asking lots of questions during my pap. Dd1 has been bugging us to have another. And finally dd1 has been asking for and eating hot dogs, ham sandwiches. Today she finished a bowl of scrambled eggs. Well try veggies later. I'm just happy she's eating meats!

Aww! That's a great photo of you and Layla! Me and the hubs have been stressing out over Claire's acne as well. Sometimes she flares up and you just see red all over her face so I freak out that she's having a rash or something. It just comes and goes, but I think it has something to do with her crying. She's been having some mucous/dry boogies and won't let me suction them out. It's been difficult because she cries until she's hoarse and it just stresses me and hubs out even more. She's also a lot warmer than normal so I don't know if she's coming down with something.

And DifferentDay: Thank god it was confined to one room and that everything is generally okay. You poor thing, I wouldn't have been able to handle that well if that happened to me. Just thinking about it makes me miss my hubs.

Love that pic!
Aaron's tear duct finally cleared up. His acne comes and goes too. He gets super red when he's really pissed or hot. He's normally a heat box (all my kids are) so when he's "cold" he looks sick bc of how pale his skin turns. His normal skin shade is a pink lol he is now 14.4 lbs! And wiggles across the room super fast. I don't really get engorged anymore but he's gaining, enough wet diapers, not fussy after eating, can hear him swallow esp during letdown so must be fine. He'll be 2 months on the 30th :( and size 2 diapers are getting too tight on him!

Ayzya, I read that it's normal for the acne to get bright red when they get fussy.. the same thing happens with Layla. I wish it'd just go away! :x And for the nose boogies, I sometimes use a q-tip. Obviously you gotta be really careful so it doesn't get shoved up her nose, but that seems to work a little better than the sucker for the dried ones. Oh, and SO's mom got Layla this all natural lotion and body wash called BabyGanics.. I'm gonna try it out and see how it works, maybe it'll help clear up the bumps. I read that oily lotion isn't good for baby zits so the Johnson's lotion probably isn't too good (and baby oil is definitely a no go). Her skin feels so rough and dry.. I can't wait for it to clear up!

DifferentDay, Layla's the same way.. she's usually pretty warm (her dad is like a walking heater, I'm always freezing) and when she's cooled down she looks so pale! I have no idea how much she weighs but I'll find out on the 31st. I can't wait to see how big she's gotten! I noticed today that her 0-3 month onesies are starting to get a little tight, ahhh she's getting too big too fast!!! She's still in the size one diapers, though and she'll be two months old in only four days!

So tomorrow's my 23rd birthday and my boss gave me the day off so I get to spend the whole day with my little chunk. :) We're going to lunch with my mom and I dunno what else is going on.. probably not much because we're crazy broke, but I'm just happy to spend the day with miss Layla. :D

Were doing good :)

Emily will be 4 weeks tomorrow. She is almost 9lbs and doing great! She is staying awake more now and loves to nurse as well. Seems like some days she is nursing constantly. But she is a happy content little girl!
