Here more so than in the past, my son has been sleeping by himself. We keep the doors open at night so we can hear him if he gets up.
My SO woke up last night and said that my son had been scratching in his sleep.

There have been a few occasions where I have gotten him from my parents or his grandparents and he has had little red scratches all up and down his legs that he hadn't had before he left (I know this because they all call me and start bitching like I should've told them something I didn't know.)

I had taken him to the pediatrician a couple of times for this, and he says it is "normal" and it will pass. There have never been signs of a rash, we have used the same detergent since he was born. It just keeps... happening. And all, ironically, while I'm not around.

Do your parents have pets? First thing that came to my mind was fleas. People can carry them from place to place, unfortunately.

My mom flea bombed when her new husband forced her to put her Chow outside.
His grandparents have a English Bulldog and also flea bomb quite frequently.
We have no pets at home, though.
