I just realised what my pet hate is.

When people without kids park in the 'parking with prams' spots, we are lucky if we get one and if we do I walk past all these cars that dont have any type of car seat in it and think to myself, they should get fined! It should be just like parking in a disabled spot when youre not disabled.

Except disabled people are disabled and while it may be a nuisance to walk a ways with kids, it's not remotely the same thing.

what is prams?? im assuming its like "parking for pregnant/ with kids" if thats the case, no one pays attention to that around here. we have lots of "made up" reserved spots. "parking for vanpool only" "parking for low emmision fuel car only" lol. eh, no one pays any attention. but, handicap spaces, those are real...for real reasons. able ppl can walk, whether you van pool, have small kids, or drive a gas guzzler. handicap spaces serve a purpose, the others dont.

How do you know they don't have kids? there are carseats that just buckle into the car without a base :? And who cares? I think new mom parking/pregnancy parking is stupid. Having kids is an inconvience but you shouldn't get special treatment for it.

Well that sucks. I hate when people feel they have an entitlement to something..

If this is something that seriously bugs you that much... You need to sort your priorities.

!! I don't have to use my base and don't. As long as you know how to and consistently install your carseat properly without the base you are good to go.

Maybe she doesn't want to walk a parking lot with a child? That is pretty dangerous just saying, I get so nervous with Dominic when we are out. So I can understand. But like the ladies said, we are able. Just have to be EXTRA careful!

They have special spots for that? That has to be the stupidest thing I've ever heard of. No offense OP, but that's super lazy. Lol.

I dont see those signs much here. In germany they are everywhere.

But I kind of get where your getting at...depends on the place.

When I was on bed rest, I would still have to go to my high risk doctor. Men were constantly parking at the high risk patient parking. It used to piss me off.
