:!:
And she would be in serious trouble for locking you out of the car with your baby in it.
She's 4, not 2. She understands.

Quoting ...B...:" Sorry, it's longer than I expected it to be. I babysit my step daughter, we'll call her A, in the mornings ... [snip!] ... it better? The experience I have with 4-5 years olds has never included problems with locking doors. Thanks in advance."

change the locks around and use time out when she doesnt listen shes testing you to see what youll let her get away with

She is old enough to understand consequences. I would talk to her and let her know that if she does it again she will lose a privilege. You could also try a rewards system. Let her know if she is good every day she can pick a prize from the prize box. Just spend a few bucks at the dollar store. It will give her positive motivation to be good.

That way she can lock mama inside the bathroom or bedroom instead!

Either way next time you watch her she should be punished in some way and told again how wrong and dangerous that was.
If you want to put her in the car for time out just get in with her or don't close all the doors....
