My lazy son will not lift up when on his belly.. He's 4 and 1/2 months old and he either freaks out or just lays there staring at everything.. I keep seeing pictures of babies younger than mine that are lifting up on their arms, looking like they are about to crawl.. Should I be worried that he hasn't even tried yet..? I lay him belly to belly with me sometimes and he still lays his head on me. He might lift up for a sec then gets lazy again lol.

DD always hated tummy time. If you put her on her tummy, she would lay there and cry and throw a huge fit. She still started crawling at 6 months. If he's anything like my LO, he'll prefer sitting.

Yeah, I've noticed if I keep him sitting up supported of course he seems happy. He loves to sit in his bumbo, and he loves it when I hold him up on the counter to look at the fish.. I think he doesn't like it when he can't see everything.. Nosey little boy.

Em was the same way. I don't think anything is wrong. My LO hated tummy time but now she's ahead of her age in development. If you're concerned, you can ask his pedi. Babies are all different and develop at different paces. I think he's fine, mama. :)

My eldest daughter HATED tummy time, she screamed the place down as soon as I put her on her tummy. She just liked to sit up and see everything, once she could sit she was happy. She was a little late rolling over (10 months) and crawling (11 and a half months) but she was pulling up and walking round the furniture at 10 months and walking at 14 months. My younger daughter has been the complete opposite. Don't worry, he will do it in his own time!
