<blockquote><b>Quoting Love Wedge +2:</b>" Is there a medical reason you keep having preemies?"</blockquote>

I just keep going into labor. My Ob believes I have a small uterus that can't stretch that much and then goes into labor. This was our last so I'm not concerned about it. Our 3rd was a surprise baby. After 2 preemies I was done but I guess God had other plans.

Wow, that's scary.

Are your babies okay now? How old are they?

Wow! You must be busy!

I have a 6 year old girl that was 36.6 and a 3 month old boy that was 35.2. She's perfectly fine and he seems okay so far. Too early to tell for sure, but I'm not concerned.

My brother was born just on 28 weeks and he wasn't allowed home until he was 6 months old! This was in 1991 but still.

I've seen documentaries where they try to save tiny babies and it's horrible, all of the things they have to be put through. Even with all of the attention, odds are that they'll never lead a normal life.

I didnt know they could come home that small. I'd be afraid if my baby was that small.

Thats good thing:) It's amazing how many preemies make it today compare to 20 to 30 years ago. My MIL first son was born at 29 weeks because something do with her cervix. But baby only lived 58 days and passed away he got infection.

There are some legal issues as far as how they handle a baby born after 20 weeks vs a baby born before. A baby born before 20 weeks is a late term miscarriage and a baby born after 20 weeks is considered a stillbirth. I'm pretty sure that's a general law for the entire US. Viability when they try aggressive measures is normally a little later than that, but who knows, maybe your hospital has a level 3 NICU and they like challenges. :) 6 years ago, at the hospital I delivered my son with a lvl 3 NICU, they did medical intervention after 24 weeks unless there was a special circumstance.
