So my son will be two tomorrow! but he isnt talking very much yet. he says a few words but nothing huge, but when i ask where everything is he knows what they are. for exampl we have a picture book to learn his first words, and when i say the name of the object he identifies them all.
i was just wondering if its normal?
my in-laws are really getting after me because he isnt talking yet and all there kids started talking at 1 years old.
i just think he is developing at his own pace but i was just wondering what you mommas thought?

DD just turned 3 and only says maybe 5 words. She knows she can get her point across non-verbally, the little stinker. I wouldn't be concerned :)

my son was like this, he didn't say much at two.

We actually had him tested and a speech pathologist came to our house and she asked him to point to things or what things were and he amazed us at what he knew or could say. I wouldn't worry too much yet. I was freaking out that he was delayed and pushed to get him assessed but he is totally fine. After 2 years 3 months he exploded with talking. Hopefully it's the same for you.

My DD will be two on the 16th. She doesn't say much, mainly just babbles. But she knows what certain things are and understands what I say to her. Every child is different. I wouldn't be too worried. Maybe talk to his pediatrician for a little reassurance.
