Quoting Tabitha+4 (13wks):" Wow, that is insane! I would drop the classes or something. Can you afford to not do one of your jobs? ... [snip!] ... pregnant, I was in school full-time (last semester thankfully), had two jobs, & was in basketball & volleyball seasons."

Well, we are moving into a house this month, so financially, I need the income for now. I haven't started school yet, but I had planned on starting at least one class in the next semester, then taking the time to deliver/give birth, then more.. i'm going to be attempting to do strictly distance learning classes and then just using campus for the tests/etc.
As far as getting rid of a job, the nanny job is probably going to go when I get closer to delivery. I'm not sure if they're willing to hold the job open for me while I deliver/etc.. esp if there are complications where i'm on bedrest. My business, i have to definitely keep open. lol. I'm going to start interviewing for an "assistant" for the summer JUST IN CASE something was to happen int he middle of a shoot or something haha.. i'm so paranoid.

Today I'm heading to the state capital to do my integrated testing and meet with the high risk ob. There apparently is only a limited amount of high risk ob's in this state. I've heard some bad reviews about the dr, mostly about his personality.. bad bedside manner, etc. However, in the same reviews they do say he is extremely intelligent. -sighs-

Hope it turns out that he's not a douche, but at least it seems he knows what he's doing

Very true. I think part of the problem is that he m akes it a point to reiiterate the risk and what can go wrong many times. Probably because most people don't understand the first time around. I'm sure that's upsetting for some pregnant women to hear repeatedly. I'm not in denial of the situation, so i'm okay with hearing about what can go wrong. I've prepared myself for it,. PLUS, I'd rather hear ALL of the facts rather than be surprised later.

My regular OB has a very dry personality as well. No sense of humor really. Just right down to business. Some people dislike him for that, but I just take comfort in knowing he's one of the best locally. Lol.

At this point no, I'm just seeing my regular Ob unless an issue arises. I did consult with a perinatolagist before TTC and he was fairly confident it would go well. Hoping that's correct

oh that's good news then! when i originally consulted with the high risk obs in boston where i see my rheumolotogist.. they scared me a bit... my regular ob doesn't seem to be too concerned with this being high risk. which also worries me a little. i'd rather have too much monitoring than not enough.
