this all makes me think about how I would handle one of my boys' coming home in high school or

This guy could not even know she's 15, especially if she is slutty. She probably acts older. He could be a decent dude who just made some stupid choices, he should at least get a shot at stepping up and doing the right thing by his child. He should get a 2nd chance IMO.

And I would have done everything in my power to make sure my 15yo wasn't in this situation. She probably has some issues if this is her 2nd pregnancy at 15.

Quoting Squid Kid:" I was 13 when I met my husband. He was 17. Only if she wanted him in jail, otherwise she'd hate me."

I was 17 and DH was 23 when we met. Not a huge issue.

And throwing a guy in jail for revenge... Not the right reason.

The charge would be statutory RAPE. If it's not a RAPE, don't charge him for it!

Yeah I do too. Lmao. The only reason DH knew I was at least 17 is because we met in the army.

:!: The only thing different in the situation for me is DH was 18 and i was 15.

I don't think I'd throw a 19 year old in jail! The age difference isn't that large. He's still a teenager himself!

WAIT A MINUTE!?!?!? What does her getting an abortion have to do with anything? Are you saying that you would force her to have the child to keep the BD out of jail?

Yep. This.

Quoting Michael Westen:" You can't "control" your children. You can guide them but they are human beings too."

Yes you can. If your child is out of control and behaving in a manner of risk, you most certainly can reign that in. I am not afraid to do that to my kids. If they are engaging in risky behaviors you bet I will be up their ass 24/7 until the behavior ceases. Obviously, I know that locking them to a bed is not going to change anything but I certainly will NOT turn a blind eye.
