So today I went in for my 40 week check-up. And they did a non-stress test. Everything was good and I have an induction date set for Wednesday, December 12th at 8AM. I turned out to be 75% effaced and 2.5 cms. So I've progressed a little bit more in one week. But she's still at -2 station. My doc asked if I wanted my membranes stripped. I told her yes. She stripped my membrane. And this time didn't hurt too bad. Just uncomfortable.
I went home. And about an hour later I started having some cramping... including some painful contractions but I wasn't timing them. I got stripped around 2:45ish. And as we speak... I'm laying in a bed up in Labor & Delivery right now. They are still very much irregular. But close together... painful & a lot stronger. They are keeping me, to see if maybe sleeping might help me. And gonna give me morphine for the pain. And they are VERY painful. I'm sitting here typing this between contractions. Send me LOTS of labor dust. As I'm ready to have my little girl in my arms!
Also ladies. Did this ever happen to anyone else and contractions started getting regular? From what I noticed on monitor. They are about 5-6 minutes apart. But still irregular. But doctor is still keeping me. And even though baby is still at -2 station... can she still descend more? I never had any of this with my first. So I am quite curious. I would love ALL kinds of answers from mamas. Thank you!
