Do you ever feel guilty about the amount of presents that you CANNOT buy someone? My family is pretty well off and they always tend to over buy for me, LO and SO and I feel guilty because I know I cannot buy them a lot of stuff. I dont make that much money and I have a lot of bills. I get them what I can, but I cannot help buy feel bad for the amount they spend om me vs. what I spend on them. Anyone else ever feel this way? With friends or certain family members? I just feel like they buy me $400 worth of gifts and I struggle to buy $40 each person. I dunno....it just makes me feel kinda looser-ish.

I know how you feel. I still need to get gifts for my parents, and I NEED to because they do a lot for me, but I am so broke right now, especially since baby will be here soon.

Me too! I still have to buy things for them this year and although I got 1 thing each parent...I feel its never enough. Even though I am living on like $30 this week. It sucks. lol

Don't feel bad. A gift is just that - a gift. If they feel like they can send you 100's of dollars worth of gifts, thats great! But their gifts - you shouldn't feel guilty because you can't afford to equal that. My parents spend several hundred dollars on us for Christmas and this year....their getting kids artwork. They understand I don't have money this year, if your parents don't understand that then it's not your fault.

Only when I was with my ex. He said his family didn't do much for Christmas so he bought 1 cheap ass gift for each and everyone spend hundreds on us. I felt shitty we had money too. Turns out he was cheap. Lol

I was embarrassed like we got his sister oven mitts and his mom a candle. And they bought like a ton if stuff for us.
