I really think its normal not to hear it to early. My doctor said she doesn't listen to them until 13 weeks or so. I didn't get to hear the heartbeat until 17 weeks from my OB- I just bought my own Doppler.. Granted I did get an ultrasound at 11 weeks.

Quoting Angeleyes1372:" I'm ten weeks pregnant. So that means "Using Doppler technology, you can hear their tiny rapid fetal ... [snip!] ... my husband even heard it. I'm getting a new one soon just don't kniw when. And maybe that one will have a clearer sound to it."
i was 7 weeks and 5 days during my first ultra sound to confirm pregnancy we saw the heart beating and heard it on the Doppler at 10 weeks ,if my dr would refuse my request i would find someone else that person isnt looking out for you interest or your baby's u will have a difficult time with that ob
