My grandma wanted to be buried and my grandpa wanted to be cremated. The idea was that he would die first and then she would be buried with his urn in her arms or inside of her casket.

Guess who went first!

So his urn had to be buried a few feet above her casket instead.

But there is no way I could wear someone's ashes.

They have a service that takes your loved ones remains and crushes the ashes into a stone, and it can be in a ring or necklace.

I mean, if you cremate your dad, it probably is much more prettier than seeing an urn on your fireplace, but I can't imagine wearing him..

My dad legitely wants me to take his ashes and throw them into the eyes of his enemies after he is cremated. I keep telling him I can't do that, but he says that is ALL he wants for when he passes away.

How the hell do you honor that?!

I visit grave sites for people who are near and dear. Other than that I don't.

I would keep ashes tho. My friend lost her mom 5 years ago and she keeps them on a coffee table they don't use. With her pictures and stuff b

I had to see my mother's body in a casket. It was kind of traumatic for me.

My family tries to make me feel like shit for not going to her grave. idk I just don't feel right when I'm there....

What did he do that the body wasn't so pretty? Sorry I am nosy.

I can't touch body's in caskets, I am very scared of them from when I was little. I have gotten better with age but no. What really pisses me off is when people take pictures of the people in te casket. I think it's rude and disrespectful.

I'm sorry your mom died... I really, really don't know what I would do. I'd rather lose my husband :( I know you weren't fishing for sympathy but I feel really awful that you had to go through that.

If it helps you it's none of my business. It's easy for me to see it as creepy because I've never really lost anyone of significance.

You guys could have kept his ashes at the funeral home or something. That was the offer for my grandma. She is still at the funeral home.

That is bizarre. When my dad himself we all agreed very quickly that if he died it would either be closet casket or cremation.

You'll do some creepy shit when someone really close to you dies...hahaha.

If my son ever died, I'll tell you right now I'd off myself. No doubt.
