Chris' dad did not make him go as a teen, and Chris wishes his dad would have encouraged him to keep going. I think with that background in it, Chris will want them to continue to go...at least to the general service with us.

My husband and his 4 siblings decided they no longer wanted to go to church or be Christians around the ages of 15-18 or so. They say that they felt "forced to do something they didn't want to do". Now my husband goes to church again and is somewhat devoted.. Moreso than his other siblings.

My whole thing growing up was feeling forced to go. I hated going, we are starting to go a little more, and get back into the swing of things like we use to. It's the whole kids being up, they hate being woke up and they need to be by 8:30 or we will miss mass.

Yea, see, I never want it to be a "religious" thing. I don't think I am (or I hope I'm not) a harsh, traditional, christian. I believe in the mercy and grace that God gives us, so hopefully I can extend that to them appropriately when needed.

I was so bad with Matthew. I wanted nothing but sugary cereal and carbs.

my husband went through a period of rebellion after he stopped going to church. He turned to alcohol and endangered his life. At that point, i wasn't with him.. i couldn't see him do that to himself. But when i came back to him to snap him back to reality, he turned to Christianity again and is now much better. I don't consider myself anything but i also don't mind my kids going to church with him, i support it. He's thought of Joel rebelling too and refusing to go to church anymore. It scares him.
