I think it's stupid when parents but their 3 year old iPads, and then get mad when they break.

Quoting Mayhem.:" but then again...her husband should watch where the hell he's walking  Joe leaves his Skylanders ... [snip!] ... his Skylanders shit out sometimes. But we never step on it and break it  And it's like $200 worth of crap, on my floor. "

I don't care if my kids have expensive things, but I would not tolerate them throwing them around. Not at all. Heck, I'm rather "strict" with Kayleigh's leap pad for crying out loud. My kids just need to know that we take care of what we have.

Yall are talking to a brick wall telling her to get her son to appreciate things. Not saying her life is great, but she gets a lot handed to her from various people. I don't think she will ever appreciate it.

Quoting Thisperyears:" That too but her kid shouldn't have left a fragile and expensive toy on the floor. And skylanders look ... [snip!] ... And skylanders look like they'd do more damage to your foot than you'd do to them if you stepped on them  Like legos."

Yeah, they're no picnic to step on
It's the portal thing that I'm worrried about breaking. If we break it, kid is not getting a new one, lol.

Do you have a wireless one? We go through sooo many batteries in that thing and I barely let them play it...they must be leaving the dang thing on when it's not in use.

Yeah, I agree.
He does it with his skylanders because he's on the floor when he plays, kwim? So they're left where they're used at. But it's still not tolerable, they have a proper place.

I want to rid our house of like, A TON of toys this week on Brett's days off, before we put the new beds together and switch bedrooms. That should help.

Very very true. And sad. She's setting those kids up for failure.

Even my almost 2 year old picks up and throws trash away, etc. She doesn't even usually leave her stuff lying around. It's all in how you raise them, though.

Her like uncle or something bought her a van or motorcycle or something. I can't keep track. But yes, she's handed everything.

:D I pretty much wear yoga pants every day right now since I refuse to buy maternity jeans. I can still button my size 3 jeans, but they get uncomfy after awhile.

Plus, I only have 4 months left and the weather is going to get nice soon. I have a pair of pregnancy shorts from Jake, 4 pairs of Old Navy capris that have the stretchy top and then DRESSES!!!!!!
