im 18 been withmy partner for 3 and a half years and expecting a baby.i wanted one from a very early age so i understand that, but id just got myself into college, moved to the city and starting tto get more independant.how long is your roomate going to stay around for with a baby thats crying for hours in the nght?ive had to giv up college, after trying for 2 years to get on this course.sounds like you a support panel(your partner) but think this, when all your friends are going out having fun on a weekend and your sitting in looking after a baby tha wont stop crying, pooping or being sick, you could get really upset.theres no harm with waitng another year, you may find you want to go to uni, traveletc, then again 18 and in a stable relationship is better then 14 and with someone for 2 weeks....not saying that 14 is a wrong age, but 18's better.take up a hobbie, go shopping with the girls, go out with your friends and get so drunk your puking, you say you want a dog but your landlord wont allow it, why not volunteer at a animal shelter?

I know this is an old post but I just came accross it. Im 18 and I also really wanted a baby before I got pregnant but I knew that I wanted to go to university first so we agreed not to try for at least two more years and I told my boyfriend that we had to at least be engaged first. Despite taking all the precautions I ended up getting pregnant two weeks before I turned 18. I had already graduated highschool and was living on my own. My boyfriend had a great job and our relationship was great so I thought "okay great we can do this". Then everything went wrong that possibly could except my relationship, and im honestly surprised that is still going strong. I just want to advise you to wait. Me and my boyfriend had even more going for us than you do it sounds like and we are in a pretty hard spot right now. We both had very supportive family, we both had good jobs and we where afording rent on a two bedroom house on our own with no room mates with enough money left over every month to eat out at nice restaraunts and pay for his brand new truck. What Im trying to show you is that when your 18 nothing is stable even when it seems like it is and feeling like you are a failure because you are having trouble getting on your feet to support your baby is the worst feeling ever. I couldnt imagine how much worse I would feel if I tried to bring this baby into the world. Nothing bad can come from waiting but alot of bad situations can arrise from not waiting.
