Seriously annoyed with DH s00nt0b04 Due April 23; 3 kids; Louisville, Kentucky 477 posts

He is at the hospital visiting his grandmother. Not a problem. The kids and I don't go visit because supposedly there's an infection going around that antibiotics won't treat or cure. I can't take that chance being pregnant and will not let my kids go and chance it either. DH understands that and agrees. Well, he texts me from the hospital asking me if I am happy and if I'm not he is willing to work to fix things. WTH? I mean I told him I am happy and asked him why or what made him ask. He is getting on my last nerve. He says I've been acting funny. So, I ask why or how I acted. No answer. Hormones or not this crap is seriously annoying as shit. I am so annoyed that'd he would ask me something like that when I very open and blunt to him. If I've acted tense or bothered it's because we spent the damn weekend with my MIL and his oldest niece whom seems to me get "special" treatment when she is around. But since he is with MIL I am not bringing that to his attention right now, I'd rather have that conversation in private.

TIA for listening

At least he's trying to communicate with you and can sense when you're off.

At least you have a man that cares about your feelings and wants to work on things. Most women can only dream of getting that. Luckily, I do, and I don't take it for granted.

True and I do appreciate that but I tried telling him that I am not into being all mushy right now. I am normally affectionate and bubbly with him but aside from cuddling I just don't feel like being affectionate nor lovey dovey or anything

Totally this, my husband used to be the type that could talk to me about things, but then he stopped and things got really bad really fast, and he realized he needed to start opening up again, and ever since he has, and we have worked on things, its been great with us. Like we were on the verge of divorce it got so bad

I think that's what it is. We had a rough patch about a yr ago and it got bad and we both realized that things needed to change it was little things.

My SO can sense when I even have a headache. I dunno what it is, he says the look in my eyes change as it's always different whether I'm bothered, annoyed, irritable, upset, mad, just don't feel good, etc. he always notices and brings it up. It annoys me too because I don't always have something wrong, sometimes I'm just in a bad mood or having an off day. So I understand what you mean. Try talking to him when he gets home. Good luck

I told him I appreciate him trying to communicate and that he cares but sometimes it's annoying to get asked the same question over and over. I mean he's my high school sweetheart we've been together for 7 yrs and I understand that he can sense things about me. I don't feel like myself but again it could be the change of hormones. Maybe watching Why Did I Get Married Too made him think.

True. I mean we're texting now told him we could talk more tomorrow when the kids aren't home since he is going to 3rd shift tomorrow.
