Quoting LolaMcKitten:" A) Dignity is not a right, lol - dignity is a matter of opinion. B) Someone has the right to act undignified if they choose. C) where the hell are you getting this info from?"
Google it. Dignity and respect are rights oficially stated in the Human Rights.
Quoting Kelly&Coralie:" What if I WANT to sell my body? What if it is the career I choose? Also, dignity is NOT a right. AT ALL"
You call that a "career"?
Dignity and respect are RIGHTS. Every human being has the right to both of these.
Also, there's a reason why prostitution is illegal so.. if you want to sell YOUR body, too bad, you legally can't. Obviously, it's your own problem. People just really need to realize that government makes prostitution illegal due to something, uh? to protect women. That's all.
Quoting Kayla [:)]♥:" Yes, because prostitution being illegal protects women... :? At least with legalization, they can ... [snip!] ... via taxes... With it being illegal, it'll still happen... and there is absolutely NO protection from pimps and murders."
there will never be protection from muders and horrible people.
If you want to stay protected, don't go that way.
I just hate when I see people doing this.. It's just so wrong. It's not like they love doing it (that's just being slutty), but people who need money desperately and have their own families, and do this to put food on the tablet at dinner. It's just depressing. something should be done. Just don't know what.
Quoting Kelly&Coralie:" There are a lot of prostitute who like it. It's easy money. There are a lot of soccer mom pro's. ... [snip!] ... soccer mom pro's. They have nice house and families and hook to keep the money flowing. And nothing is wrong with that "
Well, we definitely disagree.
WHILE I respect those poor women who have no other way of providing for their families and enter the horrible world of prostitution, and feel bad for them..
People with a steady relationship selling their bodies to other men, showing absolutely no respect for themselves.. yes, there's definitely something VERY wicked and wrong in those minds.
Quoting Kelly&Coralie:" So if I made the active choice, not out of desperation, but actually chose to be a pro, you would think that there is something wrong with me? And that I shouldn't be allowed to do it?"
Well, I'd say go ahead and do it, if you love it so much, if it's a hobby of yours. Still, yes, I'd honestly think something was very, very wrong with you, or anyone else with the same point of view.
Quoting Kelly&Coralie:" back to the legality... Again, if I wanted to do it, do you think I should be arrested for CHOOSING to hook?"
I think arresting someone takes a bigger crime. No, I don't think you should be arrested, unless you put someone's life in danger (for example, having AIDS, knowing you have AIDS and having sex without protection), and so on.. If the consent resides in both parts, and if it's safely done, I don't think it's morally correct, however, I don't think you should be arrested, either.
Anyways, laws are just stupid right now. Constitution says it's illegal, meanwhile, in newspapers, you see announcements of prostitutes and so on, daily!
Quoting Kelly&Coralie:" I can understand that completely. lol"
Quoting The Doctor:" It happens a lot."
Oh I know it does. But I feel like lawyers who try to slip that in should be heavily reprimanded for it. If they are repeat offenders I feel they should lose their license.
