It depends on the STD. It can take 6 months for HIV to show up on a test. Some of the others may not show up right away either.

As far as I know, most STDs can be found right away. However, I know herpes and warts can go unfound for years, and you actually have to have a break out to be positive.

It depends on the STD. Chlamydia, Trigamonis, Gonorrhea 1-14 days. These can occur vaginally, anally, orally.

HPV, Herpes take longer and can lay, dormant, for a long time. Condoms DO NOT protect against these two viruses as they can exist on surrounding mucosa....anal area, thighs, scrutum, base of p***s, around the vagina, in the mouth or on the lips. Yes, Genital Herpes DOES transmit to oral mucosa! The HPV vaccine is also in-effective! So, get tested and have annual pap smears!

Most can be found right away but Herpes, HPV & HIV can take a bit to detect or they can lay dormant and come out randomly.
