There's a t-shirt kiosk in our mall that has pre-made decals to put on shirts or you can have something custom made. There were a few decals on display that had guns and whatnot on them. After the shooting that happened a few days ago, the mall management is now demanding the decals with guns on display to be taken down. Too far or justified?

Too far in my opinion. Guns are normal and a part of our country and culture. It's not like it's racist or homophobic sayings on the shirts. It's a freaking gun.

Exactly my thinking. Yes, a gun was how those people died but it was because a sick f**k was pulling the trigger.

If we're talking about a mall in Connecticut, honestly, I understand. A mall anywhere else? No. A t-shirt with a gun on it doesn't turn people into mass murderers.

People tend to get very emotional right after a tragedy like this.

I know right after that, I wouldnt want to see a gun for a while...especially in a public place like a mall.

They will be back up once the hype dies down.

A mall not in Connecticut or anywhere even close.

Oh I don't know about that. I know that when I see a drawing of a gun, my eyes glaze over, and I want to go on a rampage.

People really are idiots.

Then it's ridiculous. What do they think it will accomplish?

"Oh, they took away the shirts with gun decals? Hm, that makes me think twice about that shooting rampage I was planning."

I think it is more having people relax a little while they are Christmas shopping so they dont get paranoid there will be a shooting while they are there.

Then why wait a few days? I think they were getting complaints about it, honestly.

I agree!!! The gun situation is a more sensitive in CT. Here in KY guns are a normal thing that is associated with hunting. However, after what just happened in CT it is more sensitive for them. There guns may be associated with the killing of children. I don't think they should have to get rid of the decals, but they shouldn't be the window displays either.

There are over 75 shirts on display on this kiosk. So it's not like they were just choosing to display the ones with guns.
