OK this may sound silly but whatever. LOL

OK I know if you get into an accident you should get a new seat, even if no visible damages are there.

So my question is this.

So we had freezing rain the past few days and today on my way out, I fell with Chloe down about 13 stairs whiling carrying her in her seat. Her seat (while I was still holding it) went down the stairs sideways thumping all the way. She was strapped in securely and proper.

She never even lost her soother cried or even phased her. Me on the other hand, I have a massive bruise on my shoulder blade LOL from the weight of her seat and hitting all the stairs in that spot.

So anyways is her seat still good to use? I know we were not in the car etc....but what do you think?

I thought there was a way to tell by looking at the back... But now I forget

Eh, it's probably ok but I'd replace it anyway.

See I don't want too. She is 10 months and I have a bigger seat for her but we can't install it properly in the van it wont fit right. We have tried LOL we have an appointment to get it installed I made it a few months ago, the earliest non booked date is Feb 12th at 3:30. So I can't use her other seat till then. We have to travel to a seat clinic since the town I live in does not have one. Kwim?

They only do it the first Wednesday of the month. So its booked till then. So ya don't really want to buy another one

if it is not warped, the straps are not tattered or frayed and all the buckles still work the way they should then I would still use it.

I'm not sure if I would trust it, sounds like it took a fair amount of impact and you can't always see damage with the naked eye. I always err on the side of caution though. You could call the company and see what they say.

As far as finding help installing, have you tried finding an independent tech in your area? I know of a lot of people that are certified that don't work with a business and do private checks. You can look here and see if there are any around you that might be able to see you earlier.

I'm in northern Ontario. It was hard enough finding this place. They are not up in seat safety here at all yet. LOL no one here does it privately at all. They have closed down most seat check places here cause no one uses them.

I'm unsure to use it. But I can't get another one to throw out in a few months since you can't re sell them. I'm unsure. On what to do. Lol

I do know sometimes techs won't be listed on there, I did find another list that you might be able to find someone:
http://www.car-seat.org/showthread.php?t=67767
You'd just pm them by the user name (in parenthesis).

I know how hard it can be to find help, my town didn't have any techs or checks for at least 3 years. They've just now finally gotten one tech, and the last check that we've had was last year that I set up and brought my friends from out of town.
