How was your first labour/birth compared to your second? Was it faster? Easier? Did you go earlier? I'm just curious :)
My first was a day early and 5 hours long.
My second was 11 days early and 1 hour long.
my first induced and was so long and so painful i had to get an epi..second i didnt even know i was in labor until i got up to use the bathroom and noticed i was bleeding and rushed to Ln D and was 7cent within 20 mins i was pushing and had little pain just felt like period cramps and she was 5 days early. I am kinda hoping number 3 is that easy!
My second was a breeze. I basically sneezed and she came out lol. No really, I pushed twice and got a mild tear. My first.. I was pushing for 2.5hrs and I got almost a 4th degree tear. Oh I was induced with both, the second induction was great though. I have a clotting disorder so the doctors only had a certain window to give me the EPI so I actually only felt like 4 contractions.
My first was 15 hours long and my second was 6. A whole lot faster for me the second time around.
My first was awful. Almost had to have a c-section and I can't remember anything because I kept passing out.
My second, was like, THE perfect labor. I had to be induced but my contractions weren't INSANE or anything, in fact I made it to 8cm before I wanted the epidural. I was talking and making jokes with the nurses in between pushing.
I'm not pregnant yet, but holy crap I hope mine will be as easy as you ladies!
Quoting Aphrodite0405:" my first induced and was so long and so painful i had to get an epi..second i didnt even know i was in ... [snip!] ... was pushing and had little pain just felt like period cramps and she was 5 days early. I am kinda hoping number 3 is that easy!"
My son was a week overdue, 30 hours of labour which nearly ended in an emergency c-section and 2.5 hours of pushing, also a bad tear. Hoping this one is easier.
My first I got to the hospital at 8ish AM, dilated to an 8-9, she was born at 1:26 PM. Second I got to the hospital at 7ish AM, dilated to a 7-8, he was born at 10:29 AM. Second was a bit more painful as far as contractions go, but the pushing & actual delivery was about the same.
ETA: 1st was born at 38 weeks and 2nd was born at 37 weeks.
My 1st I was induced at 38 weeks took 42 hours :( I thought I was dying
2nd I started contractions at 36 weeks, after we had sex at 7am
went to hosp at 11am
stopped contractions and sent me home at 6pm,
contractions started again at 12am...
back to hosp and delivered her 9:22am...
Sooo from start to finish 26 hours, 9 hours from 4cm to baby...
My first, I was induced a day overdue. I was already 3cms. Labour was 15 hours. No epi, 2 shots of pethadine.
Second was induced 11 days overdue, not dilated at all. Labour was 3 hours 45 minutes. No epi. Drug free water birth.
Second was much easier and faster.

First I went in to labor alone on my due day labor was less then 11 hours pain less made it to 6 cm with not one ounce of pain.
Second had to be induced she was 7 days passed due date epi failed and I felt everything the 11 hours of labor and pushing her out was less then 40 second
Baby #1- I was induced at 39 weeks for Pre-E. 17 hours of labor, 2 hours of pushing and almost ended in emergency C-section but they said they wouldn't have enough time for that so they used the forceps and the suction thingy to pretty much pull him out.
Baby #2- 34 weeks 5 days, 15 hours of labor and I pushed 6 times.
Baby #3- 39 weeks and 1 day. 5 hours of labor and pushed 3 times
Baby#4- 40 weeks. 2 hours of labor and I didn't even really push, the position I was in literally allowed him to pretty much slide on out.
My labors got easier with each one
