Here you can call the ER and they will tell you if you should bother or not. We also have a 24 hour nurseline. I would call one of those. I hate wasting my time. When the answer is almost always they're fine, go home.

I would rather waste my time and be told to go home rather than have something seriously wrong and have done nothing about it

You said he cut his throat, so why would his mouth be bleeding and why would it be enough for him to swallow and throw up. Yeah, doesnt add up. I would be taking my child in if they threw up blood.

I normally say dont go to the ER unless its serious. But this I would go to an urgent care or ER. Just because he is having internal bleeding

I mean, it sounds like he's bleeding internally from what you've explained...

IDK how they feel about it. You go to an ER it is there job to care for it, whatever.

as far as I know, the reason you'd throw up blood is because there's too much in your stomach... meaning he's bleeding internally somewhere... enough to make his body try to get it out of his stomach and throw it up.

I could be wrong, that's just what my ex boyfriend that was looking into the medical field told me...

Maybe all the crying made him gag and he had swallowed some of the blood from the cut in his throat and it came up when he threw up. Im sure its nothing to be worried about but I would call just in case. Its like when my daughted busted her nose on her brothers head she was sniffing and crying and she swallowed some blood it came up because of how upset she got and the amount of crying she was doing. Turns out she was fine and the blood was from her nose. I would just call and double check make sure theres no cause for concern.
