I had to get IV fluids again yesterday and they blew out three veins before they could finally get a line in me, with a tiny toddler line! My doctor is opting out of giving me a PICC line because with my clotting disorder it likely won't stay open long term and will clot shut, so it's a better option for me to just keep getting IVs every 3 days. It's very hit or miss if I can keep anything down and what kinds of foods those will be, but I at least feel hungry with my med combo right now and I am able to drink milk okay now too. Hopefully this means my hyperemesis is starting to taper off and it'll be gone soon.

Best of luck to you! Can you explain to me what a picc line is, or what its for? Just trying to learn.

Well, my daughter is visiting her dad for the weekend. My mom just came and picked up my 5 year old for the night (which never happens, shocker!) and my sister in law just called and asked if she could pick up my 1 year old to keep tonight and take to a church thing with her tomorrow. So.....looks like i'm kidless. And hubby has to work so, house all to myself til 8am. Whatever shall I do? :?

It's basically a specialized IV port that's put in and meant to stay for long-term use, so you'd have it for weeks or months at a time. They commonly use them for chemotherapy patients and those that need IV nutrition.

Oh ok. Thanks. Is it bad to wish I had some type of nutrition entering my body? Through IV or not. I haven't eaten the equivalent of a full meal in the last 2 weeks combined.

LOL! I've been like this since I hit 4 weeks, so it's been 4-1/2 for me. I'm starting to do better though.

Same here. Aside from being tired as the occasional bout of morning sickness, I am pretty much feeling back to normal.

I haven't had any symptoms or anything, they only thing I have to go by is my u/s pic and BFP test. I'm in disbelief b/c I don't feel anything.

I'm having an emotional meltdown today. We have so many big things coming up this year, and he is not willing to discuss any of it, or insert an opinion. He just sits on the couch and says I don't know. We have the baby for starters, We have to sell our house, because the army is going to PCS us next spring, and you cannot sell a house in Alaska in the winter. We have to figure out what we will do with our dogs during the sale of the house, and our move. It is so stressful to me, and he has no apparent concern. I finally lost my shit on him, and he's now decided to go to the store to get milk? UGHHH! rant done.

I'm 8 weeks 3 days, so hopefully my stomach queasiness subsides soon so I can again enjoy food.

My fiance is what I like to call "emotionaly constipated" I can talk to him until i'm blue in the face and he'll say "whatever you want", or just "whatever." It drives me insane, the majority of the time he seems like he's ignoring me. I had enough the other day(plus it didn't help that I watched a sad movie) and I broke down. We have alot on our plates aswell, two of our children are disabled and this pregnancy was a HUGE shock so it all came to a head the other night. I hear where you're coming from, feel free to rant away! :)

I am actually from northern CA but moved here when my family came here. My brother had cancer and did his treatment in VT. I've only been here since '08 but it is beautiful here and I don't mind all of the snow!

My husband was in the Army at Ft. Drum in Watertown, and I drove up there everyday for school. The drive was awful, but It was nice living up there. I'm originally from the Binghamton area, south of Syracuse. Ahhh I envy you for living in NY =)
