I don't do the amnio, but I do the extra blood tests and scans.

I could SO not do the amnio... I would only do it cuz it means an extra scan

B/c 2 of my children have a neurological disorder it wasn't really up for discussion whether or not I should do the scan. I have to do more bloodwork for it during my 2nd tri.

I had one done for my first son and it was terrible. It made me horribly sick and we didn't even get the results we were looking for.

Yeah, because of my first, I don't get much of a say either. I could say no, but they wouldn't advise that. And I'm ok with extra blood draws and finger pokes and scans so why not.

Nuchal translucency. It's where they do an ultrasound to measure the fluid levels at the back of the neck. Increased fluid is a marker for Down syndrome.

Ya I was fine with it cause I got to see the baby in 2 extra u/s. And so far everything looks good so it was a win win!

So DH's grandmother passed away yesterday (we're assuming) No one has heard from her since Friday. Most of DH's family as moved out of state and she was getting ready to move down to GA in a month because his uncle was just finishing a whole addition on their house so that she could live with them. Yesterday SIL went over because she had not answered the phone. She found her in a chair reading a book. :(

This was all pretty shocking. She was in her late 70's and had typical health issues but nothing life threatening. She hadn't been ill or anything recently. I'm just glad someone went over to check, but I feel for SIL for having to find her.

This means I could be seeing DH this week. Wish it wasn't under shitty circumstances but it will be so nice to spend some time with him!!

Besides that, things have been uneventful. I'm 11 weeks today!
...and for good measure.. Belly pic.
