I'm looking for "home remedies" so I don't have to take any medication for this stupid runny nose...I can't figure out if it's a cold or an ear infection...I have a sore throat, can't stop hacking up yucky stuff and I have a clear(mucus) runny nose...but my ears are itchy, on the inside. They don't hurt but they're very freakin itchy!!!!.....does it sound like an ear infection? oh, no fever either...

I don't really have any home remedies other then steam helps clear your sinuses but it could make your nose run more. I was given a paper by my ob with medications that were safe to take and the one I take is benadril. it makes me kinda sleep but its safe, and I dont feel so miserable. there are others on the paper if you want to know about over the counter stuff.

If your ears keep bothering you heat up a little sweet oil and place a few drops in your ear and plug with a cotton ball making sure to keep your head tilted so that the oil stays inside.
