Quoting kthx.:" I use the recipe on the back of the lipton onion soup mix box. Cut up potatoes, put them in a casserole ... [snip!] ... dish.. pour a little vegetable oil on them and then a packet of lipton onion soup mix. Bake for like 35 minutes. sooo good."

Ha I actually have some of that cause I was gonna make something else with them and didn't. I might even try that then, thanks :)

Always fry then with a yellow onion.
SOO GOOD. The onion caramelizes and adds extra flavor to the potatoes. You have to fry them for like an hour. Flip them every 5-7mins

Quoting Mrs. God of Thunder:" Oh, and as for seasonings, I use a little seasoned salt, pepper, and very little garlic salt/powder."

Ok we have all that.

If you cut potatoes width ways in little lines almost all the way through, drizzle them with oil and add a little salt then bake them they taste like chips. But healthier apparantly.

These all sound so good, I'll have to try some of these later.

Covering the pan is what gets them cooked through.

ETA Should only take about 20 min if you keep them covered.
