Okay... so anyone who is in the Memphis area and looking to move... don't bother looking at the Bella Vista apartments... they are horrible! (At least, our experience has been...) You can hear the neighbors upstairs walking, talking and having sex (NASTY AS HELL AND IRRITATING AT FIVE IN THE DAMN MORNING!!!) You can hear the NEXT DOOR NEIGHBOR, especially in the KITCHEN (of all damn places...) you can hear the people outside like they are standing in your damn room with you... and that's not even the START OF IT... There's stupid crap that goes on all the time, like shootings and stuff... (so wanting out of here, if you haven't noticed...) and if you have any problems with the house, like your dishwasher SPEWING WATER AND FLOODING YOUR DAMN KITCHEN and backing up into the sink with a moldy smell, they take FOREVER to get to you and fix it... (we've had to have our Dish washer fixed twice already, and it's still not working right, now it won't wash... smdh) They don't clean properly before you move in... (put it to you this way: in one setting, one spot, I vacuumed up enough dirt to fill the dirt bag THREE TIMES!!!) Yeah, I'm a little irritated with this place... I'm sick of the crap. And you can tell them you won't be able to pay rent right away, and they AUTOMATICALLY threaten to evict you (I understand you want your money, but we can't give you what we don't have...) I know some places won't work with you, they at least do most of the time. And for a one bedroom, it's 464 a month... if you're paying THAT MUCH, do you REALLY want to be having problems with EVERYTHING the first few weeks? I mean, we can't drink out of the faucet without purifying it... it actually makes your mouth and throat BURN. I mean, come on. And the bugs... omg BUGS OUT OF THIS DAMN WORLD! I mean, granted, my apartment isn't the CLEANEST, but there's no reason for bugs, and our house is infested. First it was rollie pollies then cockroaches and waterbugs and spiders... and even a "house centepede" smh... yeah, if you are wanting to move, do NOT NOT NOT even LOOK at Bella Vista. They look nice, but no... our stay here, while we've enjoyed being out on our own, I'm sick of not being able to sleep for noise upstairs and outside... like, the people above us walk around, our window rattles... OUR window. wtf?! smh. Yes, I had to get this out somewhere... anyway... wanna share your stories about apartment life? heh.

Sorry. We have the same shit in our apartment too.
We hear our next door neighbors sneeze, flush the toilet, have sex. Loud sex. It's gross.
Our water heater floods, and our AC has been out for over a month. Good thing it's cold now. We also had a step broken outside (we live upstairs), I was pregnant and they refused to fix it. Then 4 months later, one of the maintenance men who wasn't working came by and fixed it with wood, instead of cement.
He got fired for it. The only reason I know that is because he lived in the building next to us, and they had to move.
It's so shitty here. I can't wait to move.

Why did you even move there if it was so nasty? Did you not look at it before moving in? I think that its normal if you can't pay rent they kick you out. Nothing is free. However I would be moving asap I was having the issues you are hope things get better for you.

I'm so glad I don't live in apartments now & I have a landlord who actually cares about his tenants & property

sounds about like what we had happen with us. Our AC went out in the MIDDLE of the summer. I was pregnant. And it took them DAYS to finally come fix the damn thing. Hell, one of the maintenance guys was supposed to take a BRAND NEW unit to another apartment, and instead installed it on ours. We've made friends with maintenance, I mean how can we not as many times as we've had to have them come out and fix stuff?? smh. I can't wait for the end of next month... we are GLADLY going to be moving out of here.

it wasn't this bad when we first moved in. and we thoughtt hey had cleaned the floors before we moved in (quickly learned they didn't clean as well as they were supposed to.) And I'm hoping things get better, too. We will be moving at the end of next month, if we don't decide to move out a little early.

yeah I agree... but it's cheaper than some of the places we found. We have to get a two bedroom after we leave here (because of the baby and my son...) How big IS a studio apartment anyway?

a studio apartment is basically one room. There is no bed room just a bathroom. You sleep in the living room or what ever lol. Its kinda like a dorm I would guess... Except for the fact that you have a bathroom in your apartment lol
