Quoting I'm Marbles:" Please explain why the price of Candy bars went up to a dollar? The price of milk going out. Prices ... [snip!] ... going out. Prices go up for more than just people stealing, but people stealing things in the long run causes prices to rise."

i do agree with you that the cost of items rises from theft. but... the milk prices going up has something to do with farmers losing their funding or something.

Um, I wouldn't do anything. I don't care.

And prices don't go up because people steal things from the store. Who told you that? :?

I suggest you do some studying in the common sense department. Prices go up due to a lot of reasons and theft is one of them.

Wow, good one. It's called inflation and has nothing to do with crackheads stealing candy bars from the grocery.

uh... what? inflation is a totally other issue. they are right--prices do rise in some stores as a result of stolen merchandise. granted, it doesn't happen automatically, it takes awhile of it happening, but... they have to make up their loss somehow and that is one way.

Inflation is ONE of the reasons. THEFT is ANOTHER.

You mean to tell me, if someone came in the store once a week a stole lets say a box of tampons. The store would be at a loss for those tampons eventually and the price of them WILL go up.
