My son was the same way. Try to stay in there until he falls asleep. He might be scared for the first night until he gets use to it.It took my son like 5 days to not cry in his new bed.

I rocked him to sleep then put him in it. Slept in it from 8-12 then got up. I do y want to deal with it so I stuck him in his pack n play. I knew nap time would be hard. I THINK he fell asleep... Hopefully in his bed

Just keep showing him his bed and let him know that that is where he needs to sleep. He will start sleeping in his bed soon. All he has to do is just get use to it.Has he always slept with you or in his own crib?
