OP- I suggest writing him a letter. Let him know that you are pregnant & you are 100% keeping the baby whether he decides to be involved or not. You need to at least give him that option to be a father to the child or to step down. I have been raising my son COMPLETELY on my own financially & emotionally since he was born almost 4 years ago. It's tough, but the bond between a mother & her child makes it all worth it. Good luck & congratulations on the pregnancy!

it's pretty damn rare for people who are FWB to end up like that.

So because you got in an argument with your ex, you're going to rob your child of a father? Not a very prenatally wise decision....

Step one of becoming a parent - This isn't about you anymore.

It doesn't sound like anyone is leading you on. You say that he confided in you that he was still in love with his ex, yet you continued to be with him.

This isn't about anyone leading you on, this is about you needing to feel wanted by anyone. You need to raise your standards or it's never going to get better.

If you're struggling with depression then you need to get treatment for it.

would you recommend your daughter to get pregnant with a man she's not married to?

Quoting P3RvYmCp3rv:" Really marriage doesn't mean they are committed to you. Damn marriage is just a freaking piece of paper. "

It's apparent that to you, marriage is a piece of paper. However generally most of the population find it more sacred than that.

He lead me on. He clearly spoke of her in a bad manner, saying how he would never go back to her for many reasons.
Why would someone who doesn't see you as someone they could be with have you meet the entire family?

That's rare. If he was just using me as a pillow to lay on for now, he wouldn't have had me grow a bond with his child.

therapy doesn't correct a hormonal imbalance in your brain. Talk to a physician.
