hi and welcome! you're welcome to join. however, Slytherin house is currently "full" (check the OP). You can still play along with the trivia. just submit your name and put "waiting" instead of your house name. we need more players for the other houses before you can officially be sorted. if you would like to join right away, you can join another house for this house cup (end april 1st). I think Ravenclaw and especially Gryffindor are the houses that currently need players.

Trivia Answers from Thursday, 1/7

Question 1:
(200 points if correct, -100 if incorrect)
What is said to be the first rule of a quiet life with the Dursleys?
Don't ask questions

Question 2: (200 points if correct, -100 if incorrect)
The Ministry of Magic said a gas explosion happened to cover up what event? In other words, something happened and in order to cover it up, the Ministry claimed there was a gas explosion. What was the event that happened?
Peter Pettigrew (though believed to be Sirius Black at the time) blew up a street and killed 12 Muggles. (I took all answers that mentioned an explosion, a spell or Muggles dying. Just mentioning the capture of Sirius was not enough for credit, as the purpose of saying there was a gas explosion was to cover up the damage from the confrontation between Peter and Sirius.)

Question 3: (200 points if correct, -100 if incorrect)
What does the door knocker at Number 12, Grimmauld Place look like?
A serpent/snake

Bonus Question: 100 points per pair
During Harry's final departure from the Dursley's house, who was partnered with who? Example, Jack and Jill; Dave and Buster; etc.
Mad-Eye Moody and Mundungus
Mr. Weasley and Fred
Lupin and George
Fluer and Bill
Hermione and Kingsley
Ron and Tonks
Harry and Hagrid

And POINTS! :)

Hufflepuff: 1300 (1 person)
Ravenclaw: 3700 (3 people)
Gryffindor: 5200 (4 people)
Slytherin: 3300 (3 people)

I'm pretty sure it was Harry's father's position in Quidditch.
