Is this normal or is something wrong? DevinMarie&BabyBentley 1 child; Nebraska 55 posts

I know this post is long but any advice would be GREATLY appreciated, PLEASE!

My Bentley just turned 3 months old today, up until now, he's been the MOST amazing baby I could have ever asked for. He hardly has ever been a crier, always so calm and advanced. He's like a super baby, at only three months he tries to say DaDa in his own way. he can almost sit up on his own already, he tries to talk and laugh and is just AMAZING!

The past few days have been pure HELL!

He's been histerically crying almost non stop the past few days and I DO NOT know what is wrong. He's never settled or satisfied it seems like maybe? He eats like it's nobody's business. Today he went through almost 3, 7 ounce bottles in four hours. Which is a lot! Normally he still eats about 5 ounces every two hours. which is still quite a bit, but it seems like he can never get enough.

He don't seem to want his pacifer, and kinda seems like the only time he's happy is when he's being held whild standing up or aimed towards the TV or Christmas lights, he's always been interested in lights for some reason. But it's , only started the past two days. And if you get him in a comfy spot laying on the bed and you move him a half inch in any way, he instantly freaks out and starts screaming.

One minute he'll be fine and talkign and smiling and the next it's like a bomb goes off and I don't know what to do. For the past month at least he's been sleeping all night and now we fight him to get to bed until about midnight and he'll sleep until about four. He tries to stay up ALL DAY! Normally he'll be in bed by 10 then sleeps until six, is up until hubby goes to work then sleeps until about 8 or 9, takes a two hour nap over lunch, then an hour nap again around 7 then he's good for bed.

The past few days, we fight for hours to get him to bed, he's up at four in the morning, screamng and crying all day it seems like, and he'll maybe sleep for an hour MAYBE during the day for the past few days.

At first I thought it was just him getting sick because my fiance and I have been getting over a cold, and he was stuffy for a few days but he seems to have passed that so i'm ruling out him being sick, and i've taken his temperature several times and it's perfectly normal.

I'll admit maybe he's not 100% feeling the best, but he's been sick one other time before this and he was nothing near this.

And another thing, is that he's perfectly normal when we're not at home. He's been running around lately with holidays and stuff, but the past few days i've been sick, he's been at his grandmothers a few times, and she has no issues!

All day today he was home with me and we went through hell and back with this extreme fussiness and we went to his grandmothers and he was his normal fun self. No crying or fussing, and even when I held him and played with him there he was fine, so i'm assuming he doesn't hate his mom, least I hope that's not it. He was fine when we left and the second we got him home it was back to this cranky little munchkin and the only thing that even slightly calms him down is being held standing up. But that don't even fully take it away.

Anybody else experience this madness or similar? Any suggestions? Could it be something in the house that he doesn't like or could there be something seriously wrong with him? WE're at our breaking point, I don't know what to do anymore, it's beyond ridiculous.
PLEASE HELP!

Sounds like the 3 month growth spurt. Unless he has a fever, diarrhea or vomiting to make it out like he is unwell, I'd wait a few more days & see if it passes. Babies have all sorts of fussy weird behavior during growth spurts. They can be as short as 48 hrs or last up to a week.

Sounds like he could be starting teething... (he's not too young to be...) I know teething can make em really cranky. Or it could be trapped gas. Even if he burps good, he can still have trapped gas that just flat out won't come up. I have to ask, how are his poopies?

teething or an ear infection my son had a double ear infection and he never spiked a temp,.never had a problem sleeping or any other symptoms he went in for his normal check-up and they where shocked he hadn't shown any signs.

^Ear infection could be possible, too...

His poop is starting to become more solid, it's a dark green color and it's clay like? He poops about every other day.

And i've considered the teething, since his drooling has tripled if not worse the past week.

He doesn't vomit or spit up, never has. And he puts Daddy's burps to shame.

I've pretty much ruled out being sick, he was a tad bit under the weather the other day but it was just a stuffy nose and it's completely gone away, and I think I can rule out anythin medically wrong just because he's perfectly fine anywhere else we go. Went to the store last night and he was fine, went to his grandmothers tonight and he was perfectly happy the entire time until we got him home.

he could be allergic to something at the house I have a bad mold allergy and am pretty much a human mold detector I will feel off and then get a splitting headach the longer I am around it the worse it gets.

then more than likely teething... and possibly too much acid on his tummy. Try giving him baby zantac, just a small dose... it might help. Of course, talk to his Pedi about it, first. Feel around on his gums, if you feel a knot... definitely teething!!! :D hope he gets better soon!

I'll def check his mouth in the morning, and i've heard that babys can sense stuff too, i've had someone suggest a carbon monoxide, if he can sense it or something and we can't? Thank you ladies for all the advice, i'll def be looking at his gums in the morning, if he doesn't get better or calm down in the next few days i'm probably going to end up calling his doctor to be on the safe side. THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH!!! :D

but also if it was teething wouldn't he be hysterical at graandma's too? because it's like a night and day difference when we're home and when we're at a different place

that is a good valid point. idk he could sense something y'all can't. like a smell that's not there enough for you to smell but enough for him to.
