<blockquote><b>Quoting It's Delivered:</b>" I wouldn't lend my ex a water hose if he was on fire But IDK your relationship with your ex, so not for me to judge."</blockquote>

We are friends who hang out all together movies dinners etc.....with kids without kids. We had our issues a few yrs ago and didn't talk. But got over childishness and moved on. Lol

It would depend on the relationship.

If I hated him, no I probably wouldn't lend him money.

If we were friendly, sure

I think it comes down to whether or not YOU are comfortable doing it. I wouldn't loan my ex money, but he's trying to live outside of his current means and that's completely on him. If he wasn't living outside his means, and it was so he could still take care of our daughter, I would absolutely consider it. He couldn't do a very good job with her if he had no electricity or if he couldn't afford groceries to feed her, especially if his money situation was not something he caused himself.

Well on ODSP for a Permanent disability. But still works part time in a kitchen. He's not lazy and always looking for under the table jobs to help out with buying stuff for the kids and that.

He buys food for the kids etc....and I do buy him grocery cards often when I know his job didn't give him hours etc......

As long as you're comfortable doing it, it shouldn't matter what anyone else thinks.
I would see it as you're loaning him the money to make sure he has food, and diapers in the house for when the kids are over there.
I wouldn't ask for child support either, until you know he can afford it. At that point for me it would be more of a "if you can afford to give me some to put away for the kids, then great." As long as you're not struggling, and it's not hurting you financially, go for it, as long as you know he's not taking advantage.

Well he buys diapers for my house. Lol I just pack them for his when she goes. Lol all the same tho.

He.never really asks for it tho. I know when he is struggling. All his cable net and phone were cut off yesterday. And its only 60 a month for all 3.

He was off work all Christmas and hasn't been put back in the schedule yet. So I knew he was struggling. So I put the 100 in the diaper bag. My mom keeps bitching about it.

Its annoying me.

Next time I wouldn't tell her about it. What you choose to do with your money is your business.

I would. I don't see a problem with what you did. He is your kids father, and your friend!
