Quoting These City Walls:" Won't you be deported?"

I think that's essentially what she wants. From what I gather neither her or her son are canadian citizens and she wants to go back to the USA.

My son and I are both US citizens, neither of us are Canadian, I am here illegally.
My son is eligible for both citizenship but my husbands lazy ass hasn't done anything to get it done.

Why don't you just take your child and leave?

Do you have family in us to contact? If so I would.contact them and get them to find out how to get you home.safely.with your son. If you.are being held here and are being abused etc......

I'm thinking that no matter what it will be a matter of time before you will be deported and anything you say about being abused by him will just be thrown out Kwim?

Either way you need to do it ASAP and safely so he won't do anything harmful.

I would just leave if I wasn't afraid of being arrested for kidnapping, and my husband doing something to me..

I'm not sure how you could be arrested for kidnapping when you and your child are in the country illegally.

yeah i was thinking....if you're there illegally and you leave to go home i don't think he can get you in trouble. you're just going home...whether he chooses to come or not is up to him. you're basically going home from vacation but he's choosing to stay. i don't think you will get in trouble at all. is a family member going to pay for you to go back home? if so i'd book a flight and be on my way.

Isn't it a felony to house someone who's there illegally?

Wow what a clusterfuck OP I'm sorry you're dealing with this. I agree with everyone saying just take your son and leave. You are both here illegally. He's bullshitting about the police and if he isn't, his ass is in big trouble too for not getting your son's papers done before letting him live there[at least he would be in the US - not positive that it's the same in Canada]. If you get to the US safely and he tries to look for you hire a lawyer in the US and explain the situation.

I got SO to write a letter stating I am allowed to take DS across border, and my ride is on their way!
Os, and SO came home with a hicky on his neck.
