Oh man, I'm so sorry you had to go through all this. I've been off BG for a week or so and I was curious as to how you were doing. I'm glad you got to go home, and I hope you and little dude continue to do better until he is ready to come out.

My sister is using my Moby, but I'm still going to ask around/look for one this week for ya.

So I still have really low fluid. Also, since his heart is really big they are sending me to a pediatric oncologist to try to find some answers. His legs are also measuring really small and they asked me if I have any family members around 5 ft. Nope. So either he's going to be really short or going along with the heart problem it could be "some kind of syndrome". Greaaat. Only good news is that he's measuring 2 1/2 lbs now and besides his legs he's growing great.

I also have to try to collect some of the fluid/ blood leaking out of me and immediately go in to l&d next time it happens which is daily so that's on my agenda for today.
I am so overwhelmed right now, I hate not knowing what's wrong or what's going on and I hate even more knowing that something is wrong but not being able to do anything about it!

What kind of syndrome could that be? I'm sorry mama. I hope it's all just a big mismeasurement and everything will be ok :)

Thank you, I appreciate it :)
If I can't find one I think I'm going to try to find some jersey knit on sale.

I'm really pissed because I had the infant insert and sun blocker attachments for my Beco in my bedroom clean, and the Beco was in the laundry to be washed. I came home from the hospital and it's all missing and DH has no clue what he did with any of it, so not only is it missing but its separated. He was like welll we'll just buy a new one. Wtf! No we are not spending $150 on a carrier when we have a perfectly good one that just needs to be found.

NO clue.
And no its not just a mismeasurement. The legs measured off last time too but I guess they didn't think anything of it because they can be off. But 2 times in a row they're significantly off. Like everything else was measuring 28 1/2 to 29 weeks and they are measuring 26 weeks.
And the heart is HUGE. It's supposed to be 1/3 the size of the chest. It's 121mm and the chest is like 192mm. So it's more than 1/2.

They won't bring you down in a wheelchair? Or let you go yourself?

I'm gonna ask next time my nurse comes. But last time a nurse took me on a tour of the floor she said I had to stay on the floor. So I'm not gettin my hopes up.

I went through something similar with my middle baby as far as the legs go. It was both his legs and arms that were short though. I'm surprised they could get a good weight estimate with the leg issue. That was always the problem for us. My son's long bones (upper arms, upper legs) were significantly shorter proportionally than the rest of his body so his weight estimate was always off by about 2lbs. I was actually induced early because they thought he was IUGR. (No i don't have boring pregnancies... lol) He ended up being 6lbs 7oz, but they estimated he was going to weigh under 5lbs.

After he was born, along with the long bone issue, both of his hands have a single simian crease (there's a different, more correct name for it now, but the monkey name stuck../shrug). I had to deliver with a NICU team there just in case and he had to be evaluated by the geneticist on call. That started a whole process of seeing the geneticist every month or so until he was about 6 months old.

The end result is that his genes are quirky, but no major issues. I'm summarizing. He has some extra info on his Y chromosome. His height/weight is about 50th percentile as of his 2 year check up. His brothers are both very very tall for their age, so he is going to be shorter but I can live with that. :)

Good luck and I hope they figure out what's going on. Nothing's worse than not knowing.
