Wow you're whole attitude really is f**king disgusting. You're one of those I'm not saying she deserved it, don't you dare accuse me of saying anyone deserves to be raped BUT......

Yeah I have no interest in even conversing with a rape apologist and not one who is in complete denial about either.

Complete disgrace. Just you carry on pretending to yourself you're not making excuses for rape.

Do not address me again, I'm putting you on ignore.

What you are basically saying is be a paranoid bastard at all times? When going into a cafe and your the only one there watch how they make your tea because they might be planning to spike you. If your at work, assume if your alone doing a return to work with a male boss assume he might just want to feel you up. I'm all for self defense but there's watching out for yourself and carrying mace..then there is carrying a hand gun incase a guy grabs your ass!

Never once did j say the worlds perfect but quite frankly your in a bad spot every day of your life.. But there are some places which should be safer than others.

I think you have it in your head I live in some fantasy land like a f**king hippy, no I don't. I believe you should be able to love your life without being gang raped and if god forbid, it should ever happen the fuckers get chastrated and much worse. Not that when you get to court someone says well you never learn brazilian jiu jitsu before having a drink with friend so you put yourself in that 'bad spot'

Plus sorry but you can be drinking a orange juice all night and without your knowledge (coming from a girl who's been spiked and followed the drinking safe rules as my family have owned pubs for years and I've seen some states) the second you take a sip you are fucked! Doesn't matter how much training you had or if your a bloody UFC champion you are going down. But hey whilst that rohypnol is in control of your body and you have no power but are fully conscious least you can blame yourself for being in a group of people and putting yourself in a 'bad spot!'

Well because you mentioned a couple times that instead of focusing on protecting ourselves, we should focus on teaching people NOT to rape.

There is OBVIOUSLY only so much you can do. Is there no middle ground or do we have to go off the extreme deep end. I obviously need to explain, more.

When I park in a parking lot at night, I park under a light. I never park in an unlit area. I always have my keys ready and when I get in my car, I lock the doors immediately. I live alone and do not answer the door unless it's someone that I know ...or expect. I keep my porch light on all night, so my house isn't drowning in darkness. I have a home security system. I could go on and on about the precautions that I take on a daily basis. It lowers my chances of certain violent crime. This is a PROVEN FACT.

If THAT is being "paranoid", then I am guilty as charged. I didn't realize that common sense=paranoia.

I swear, it's like talking to three year olds.

I agree with this statement. I myself was taught to be "a paranoid bastard" as you so nicely put it ha by my crazy father who thought just by walking out the door I would be pounced on by an enraged rapist so for many years I was aware of absolutely every little thing someone done. I would analyse absolutely everyone and because of it I was a good judge of character I guess but regardless of that I would never ever ever think that any female had ever put themselves in a bad spot to be raped. That is making excuses for a rapist IMO.

I'm now slightly less of "a paranoid bastard" thankfully lol

I love having a fellow Scot on here only we would use phrases like that lol

I take all of those same precautions. I don't think we're paranoid. :)

And I agree with you about the risky behavior. I know you're not blaming the girl.

Thank you btw. If strongly disagreeing in having the attitude that it's not ok to rape but..... makes me a b***h that's fine by me. I'm happier to be a b***h than a rape apologist in denial.

No. Not blaming her at all. What they did to her is horrid and they should pay with castration!

Excuse me but I have been pretty much calm whilst speaking to you about this but do not compare me to a three year old again.

You are obviously one of those people that can't see anyone's point other than your own, which is about how YOU protect you and not the fact it shouldn't happen or doesn't deserve justice because you didn't do enough to protect Yourself. So there is no real point in speaking with you becaus it's a one sides option and with no room for anyone else's point.

Well either I've not put across what I'm saying clearly enough or you have picked me up wrong so I will try explain better. I do not at all think
the focus should completely shift to protecting ourselves to only teaching not to rape what I'm saying is there is a DRASTICALLY uneven focus on protecting yourself. I feel there should be a far better balance, yes it is important to be taught how to protect yourself but when mostly all the focus is on how not to become the victim and not how you shouldn't perpetrate then that takes the spotlight away from attackers.

I'll show you an example of how in the UK we're trying to be more balanced in our campaigning and trying to teach not to rape and not just how to protect yourself.......
